Flamewars aside, I am not quite sure why they would do something like this. Argument "it was easier to make it for Mac OS" does not really explain anything, because even then they could've just hid the Macs better so as to not reveal what's going on.

As far as humble pie goes, this might not be it, but Anand also has two articles on experience with Mac desktop and Mac laptop, and for the Wintel people it should be an interesting read, to see how a hardcore Wintel person viewed working with Macs.

it's been known for a long time now that developers are using g5 macs because xbox 360 is gonna use powerpc cpus. plus these are alpha kits. developers won't get final dev kits till somewhere around july
