Angry What would you do?

About 4 months ago they broke into my car (in front of my home) and stole 2-12” Kicker Comp in there box, Radio, Amps and some other stuff. I filed a police/Insurance report….Today browsing a local form…I seen my speaker in the same box for sale, the way I know..the carpet is torn from one corner..that happened by me forcing it into my car once I sold my truck.
I have contacted the guy…and I’m check ‘em out tomorrow. I contact the local police where I file the police report; my concern is repercussions to my car down the road.
What do you guys think?

I wouldn't have contacted the guy, but you already did. Seems like the horse is out of the barn, now. So...make sure they bust him for it!

Even tho you contacted him, you can have the cops go there before you. Tell the cops u suspect that is yours and they will go seize it and probably make an arrest. so yea id call the cops before i went down there. you dont kno how dangerous this guy(s) are, dont wanna get shot over this. I wouldnt anyway : )

But the guy selling them may have no idea that they were stolen. He may have bought them off a friend of his, or found them as a good deal somewhere else. Just let the cops go in and do thier thing. You'll get your speakers back.
As far as reprocussions... the people who broke into your car probably do this alot, hopefully they won't remember where they came from and there will be no chance of a reprocussion.

Hmm, chances are this guy is either a 'fence' or an unwitting purchaser of stolen goods, not the perp.

However if it is the perp, that is one of the things we have to worry about now, the repercussions of 'catching' the guilty

id say i want to buy them. go check them out. Pull up in your car they were stolen out of. Act like nothing is wrong. Talk to him about them no to much, dont want to look like you are fishing for answers. See how he acts. That would give me a good giggle.

Seriously id just show up at his door with the cops. They wont want you to speak to him before they do. What is it they say about possession being 9/10 of the law. It would be hard to prove anything like this. Unless you have install pics id think. Talk to the police and let us know im curious or you could break his car windows. make the ***** pay. Dont lead him to thinking or even have a clue you may have done it. Oh wait jump his *** with some clubs. yeah that will do it. Ok im being bad ill stop.

Oh and remember all games lead to drama and someone ending up hurt.

I agree...talk to the cops and see what their advice is...anyone who says "go kick they're ***" is hopefully kidding, or they just don't understand what the consequences could be...immediate or long term..

I REALLY REALLY wouldnt want some crazy guy going around commiting multiple crimes to get a good honest look at my face, so after he goes through the legal ****, he see's me drving and decides to take out his agression...

I'd leave it completley up to the cops, garage your car for now on! lol
I'm lucky for having 2 garages, 200ft driveway(atleast), and a cop for a neighbor...

When I contacted the local authority, they didn’t wanna help. All they said “do you have the case #”
WTF this happened months ago, I thought I would never see ‘em again. I told one of the cops that with or with out there help I’m getting my stuff back (and my best friend “the bat” is coming along )
I finally spoke with the detective last night and agreed to accompany me soo…the sting is set up for tonight…I can’t wait to see his face…As far as proof, I have pics when they were installed…
Here is the funny part…Where the pics are hosted comes back to the guy that’s selling ’em. Just doing a simple “who is” , it comes back to his home.
