Learned something today...(Dell Laptop..)

So I found a Dell laptop on Craigslist that had a broken screen. Went and purchased it for very little cash and looked it over. Had more stuff than I expected, a dvd drive...20gb hard drive..etc. So I went on Dell's website and was looking over its configuration...and Viola! It has a active extended warranty that covers everything unintentional. Called them up and schedulaed a service call. Both people I talked to asked me if there were any scufed plastics or missing feet, anyhting else that I would like replaced at the same time. WOW! I have had the laptop 8 hours and as of tommorow afternoon it will be fully functional as new. There service, although sometimes language impaired

has been the best I have seen yet. Very very impressive for a company I would have never bought from before this!

its a C610 1ghz P3 with DVD and integrated 802.11, Nic, and 56k, a good battery (accidentally formatted it without being plugged in

just forgot!) and a 20gb hard drive...for $100

Did I put up a fight? umm...no!

I have been finding C600's cheap and fixing them up...they work awesome and are very nice to work on (screw holes labeled, etc...) and i was just looking for a upgrade mobo for one of them...thats how I found this "dead" one

sweet... Im trading in an old set set of wheels from my car for a Toshiba laptop w/1.2ghz, 30gig hd and 256 ram tomorrow... One mans trash is another mans trasure
