I have 20% in the back three, and 50% in the two front sides. Looks and works great. Remember, the figure is the percentage of light allowed through, so 20% is darker then 50.

Had it for almost a year, no problems with police, and looks great. BTW, you're planning on having a shop do it? Find one that'll give you a lifetime guarentee on the tint. Doing it yourself (if you've never done it before) is a great recipe for bubbles. If not now, then later.

Make sure you just get good tint.

Regardless of the %, good tint is good tint. Nothing purple (thats crap) and try to stick with stuff that is "metal" and not dye based.

Make sure you get a lifetime warranty for bubbles.

Spend at least $150 for 4 windows and a back window....

Something else to look for, some tint shops have a safety net policy for if you get a fixit ticket for tinting. Inquire around. My shop said that if I get a ticket, they'd strip it off and re-apply it for some cheap amount, legally satisfying the 'fixit' requirement (for about 5 minutes, but hey, you're covered).

I got 35% up front, 25% in back. Fronts are illegal where i live, but who cares. I say go with 25%.

BTW, I spend 170 for 5 windows from a pro tinter with 20 years experience. Dont go cheap, you'll regret it. Also make sure they can do the back window with 1 piece rather than 2.

28% on the front sides, 15% on the rear sides and back window. I like it but wish I could go a little darker on the fronts. But I haven't gotten any trouble from the cops so I think its a good mix.

How ironic, I just picked up my car from the tint shop...5% all around and 37% on the entire front windshield...looks awesome on a black car IMO.

5% all around.....double layered all around except front doors......

problems are:

1) can't see **** at night...have to pull the r/s window down sometimes at intersections to make a right or might run someone over

2) can't park at night without pulling the same r/s window down( cameras going in soon to solve these visability problems.....)

3)cops....but in a minivan most just look the other way.....now if I drove a slammed honda or something I might not be as lucky...

Don't get metallic tint. It will block out radio signals interfering with rader detectors. Also is bad for GPS signals if mounted in car. Go with a more expensive ceramic tint.
