It was a joke.

And I've never been told to search. Probably because I actually search before posting.

Well, we could always just ignore you.

Check out any other technical forum, such as a car forum, or, Try www.Howardofurms.com. There, they tel you to search for almost EVERYTHING. That's because, everything has been answered.

Not sure what you do for a living, but imagine this. Every new person in your company asks the same question, over and over and over and over and over again. And, the answer is in the employee manual. Lets also assume that to you, it is an easy question, that reading the first page of the manual will asnwer. So, how loing do you think it would take for you to say to every new employee, READ THE EMPLOYEE MANUAL. If you can;t find the answer in there, make sure it isn;t in there, and then ask.

We are doing the exact same thing. Telling you to read the Employee manual.

Michael

PS. The answer is, I don't think I was ever told to search here. In other forums yes, but not here.

Hey old timers, how many times have you been asked to share your wisdom, er excuse me, have we bothered you with questions?

You know, if every single person in the world could just read, and search forums, what the heck do we need teachers for? Yes, the information is here, but sometimes it is spread between two or three threads and not always worded the way I would word it. If seeing these questions every day bothers you, just ignore them, cant do that as a receptionist handing out employee handbooks, can ya? ANd how often does that employee handbook change? In the world of computers that information can be outdated in no time. New ideas come along EVERY day.

I like talking, so if asking a dumb question is going to get me chastised with a RTFM or SEARCH newb! then maybe I should move along.
