When Diznee goes bad, you know we are doomed
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8554959/
Ok, so the world isnt ending. But please, if you ride the Tower of Terror (herein referred to as ToT) you know what you are doing.
The warnings all over the place about back/neck/pregnancy/heart disease should be enough of a deterrent for most over protective parents. But not this 16yr old tourist....and dont even get me started on the FOUR year old who rode the new Mission Space ride (basically a $100million Gravitron i think) and died...a ******* FOUR YEAR OLD!? On a ride thats more like Body Wars and could beat the **** out of your body....wow wut dum ****in parents. No sympathy there.
But yes I feel sympathetic that the girl who had a heart attack on the ToT because it seems she didnt know of the problem, and the ride only aggravated it. If thats true, fine, if its not, yer a ******* idiot lady.
I rode the ToT the month it opened. it dropped you once.
That was lame.
Next year they drop you twice.
Still not enough.
Last time I went, i think 2 or so years ago, it was up to 3 or 4 ******* drops. Im not a very good motion ride person (crazy coasters make me sooo damn dizzy/nauseous) and for the first few years I could go on ToT no problem. But these days with all the extra dropping and flying up, I really feel like **** when I get off the ride. And I am in perfect health.
BUT heart problems of the nature that can be stress induced, shouldnt just miraculously appear when you ride a ride...she was 16 and probably rode ROCKIN ROLLER COASTER which is before you get to the ToT, and on the way... a much faster harder ride...maybe she didnt. but if yu dont feel so hot, dont ride the ride.
I dont have any news articles to back it up, but Disney always gets the short end of the publicity stick when it comes to their parks because unlike Island of Adventure and universal, Disney TRYS SO ******* HARD to be a perfect place that people ***** when someone goes slightly wrong.
had this happend on a The Hulk coaster, no one would give a **** cuz people have health problems on coasters all the time, or DONT RIDE THEM at all. Those who know their own bodies dont abuse them. maybe she didnt know, but again I stress how can u have a cardiac problem and not know about it or feel like ****?

I love the Rockin Roller Coaster, but the ToT gets me everytime. Mission Space is nothing like it was when it first openned. It is weak now.

I was at Epcot & MGM over the weekend... Went on Mission Space for the first time, and ToT and Rockin Roller Coaster again. I thought that ToT was a scarier ride than it was the last few times I've been on it (a few years ago) but Rockin was about the same. I don't think ToT was excessively scary, but I can see how some people would be really scared from it. I hope no one sues... that's all we need :/

I sorry I did not see the 50 signs/warning for Mission Space. Or even the mission brief (another safety warning) before boarding the ride. (Which was changed after the first couple of months to warn riders more) It is a thrill ride and some risk is involed, otherwise what would be the point. Some people just lack common sense.
I hate how they removed the skyway because some idiot did not follow the rules. It was a great view of the park, and great place to watch the fireworks.
BTW: Most accidents that happen are due to the fact that riders do not listen to the rules, so get the facts right.

I have been told that every time you ride ToT it is different. They can control the ride based off the riders reactions to the first drop. The ride is 10x better at dusk/night.

I am sympathetic toward the girl, if she truly was unware of the heart problem. On the other hand, what parent would let a 4 year old on Mission Space? Understand that Disney and other theme parks have strick rules and regulations that they must follow, and if you look at most incidents, you will see it was "rider error". It is all public record and can be viewed by anybody. Also Disney even "pays-out" when it is clearly not their fault. There are no laws that prevent this information from being displayed to the public.

And i hate you too.
Die often...um no thats not true.
WHAT YOU are talking about is carnival rides. NOT disney. DISNEY is in the limelight ALL DAY EVERYDAY
IF it was we would hear about it, dont gimme that diznee is a huge corp (which it is) but ANYONE ANYWHERE would jump at the opportunity to give them bad press, and I dont see any bad press...so yer rant was totally out there.
LOL sounds like you puked on ToT and are ****ed about it or something, i said I WAS sympathetic ONLY IF you are oblivious to your own health problems.
LEmme think, health = my day to day feeling, I FEEL LIKE **** TODAY lets go ride a heart pumpin thrill ride. MORONS! ALL OF EM!

i went on the space one. If that is the one where you have you sit in a group of 4 and have to land your ship and do some other stuff and reach up and touch a button but cannot look away from the screen? That ride is so awesome, but i would not do it to manytimes id get sick. I cant do the rides that spin. Disney is so cool although i think its to expensive for food and a drink there. Oh well i guess they have to pay for it somehow.
Oh the ToT boring to me. I like the rollercosters the best.
Poor girl and boy. Oh well stuff happens. Ya dont know whats good till something goes bad.

Your a ******* idiot.
There is no law, rules, or contracts stoping the news from talking about what happens at Disney land. Speak not of what you do not know.
Ask me how I know.
Well, lets see, my father is an attorney, and he is in charge of Corporate litigation for Walt Disney Corporation.
There is so much you do not know. "People get hurt there and Die often". You are an idiot. Often, what the hell does that mean.
Yes, people get hurt at Disney. Sometimes it is disneys fault (It does happen) and sometimes it is not. Not everytime someone gets hurt there is it Disneys fault.
If I walk in traffic, and get hit by a car, it is not necessarily the drivers fault. Certainly if you put signs up that say, DON'T WALK IN TRAFFIC, you can't balme the Driver when someones is walking in traffic.
Yeap, your a mental midget.
Michael

News in "that area" not talk about Disney... LOL, you must be smoking crack. My parnets are almost neigbhors (20 mins tops) to Disney and trust me; They see them on the local news, if not more than anybody else.
Have you seen all the "magic" that goes into openning and closing Disney each day?

Your out of your mind. How is it Disneys fault when someone is hurt bad. So, only when the hurt is bad is it disneys fault, but when "hurt good" or not as bad, then it is not disneys fault. How is it thier fault one way or another. Stop making conclusions, and explain yourself.

ok your dad "Well, lets see, my father is an attorney, and he is in charge of Corporate litigation for Walt Disney Corporation." so what happen about 4 years ago to the little boy who was almost killed or the old MAN at Epcot on Spaceship Earth. thats jsut one ride
I never said that people don't get hurt. People do get hurt. It happens. But, just because people get hurt doesn't mean it is disneys fault. Sometimes poeple do things that they should not. Lets take another example, and see if we can make a comparison. Some woman on the logflume "Flashes" her boobs to the camera. Is it Disneys fault. No, because the woman did something that she shouldn't have, and disney warns against doing it. Just because it happens, doesn;t make it disneys fault or responsibility. If a rider decides to remove his seatbelt on a ride, that is not disneys fault. If disney creates a ride that Millions, if not more, people go on and don't get hurt, but someone who has some sort of unknown genetic problem, or heart problem, that makes them susceptible to being hurt on the ride, how is it disneys fault.

ok and "There is no law, rules, or contracts stoping the news from talking about what happens at Disney land. Speak not of what you do not know." Yes there is I don't know what you would call it but there is something were the NEWS in that area can't talk about everhting that happens there.
Prove it.
Quote:
OK and for Disney all together I LOVE THEM, it just herts that poeple are get hurt and dieing when there just trying to have fun. i'am not trying to put anyone out i'am just teling the truth. OK
That is true. But, your comments have nothing to do with that. Yes, people should have fun, and not get hurt, however, you are assingin blame to Disney with no reason. Show us how you think disney is to blame, show us what disney did wrong, that caused people to be hurt.

Just had to say, you dont live in FL. Your parents do. And I know for a fact you havent discussed this thread with them, so giving their opinion here is an obivous fabrication to get YOUR point across. I live 90min from Diznee, go all the time (not so much lately) and um O-Town (Orlando) get no special news for Disney everday. NO more than anything else, like the missing kid in Utah became national news when it should have been local. What you are talking about seems to be refering to BIG news and for it just to be in OTown news is ridiculous.
