One more reason why my job sucks now.
Before you tell me that "it's their network" yada yada yada, I know. Look at THE REASON it's restricted.
I'm tired of this Websense nonsense. First Maddox, now MP3Car. Damn.

That so suck...For a little while, this site was blocked by my job, but I think they reviewed the content & realized it has nothing to do w/ mp3s. Is there anyway you can contact IT about this? Worst case, just use a proxy...

Funny thing is they just started blocking it this week, so it gets me thinking..
I've been too busy to keep on top of the forums so far this week anyhow, but yeah, I'm gonna talk to the admins and see what's up.. if they give me a hard time, like you guys suggested, I'll just proxy around it.

1 way that might work is if you use google translator, all you do is type in the web address then click translate from any language to english, google gets confused and puts the page in english anyway. It works for me at school when a page is blocked.

You could try this. It's a usb device that has builded in apps for the web and hides itself from the host. So basically you could go anywhere, do anything, whatever, cause all the data is kept on the usb device.

When I worked at a school a long time ago they had some wicked filtering software that wouldnt let you get anywhere. I just set up a VPN connection back to my house and made it the default gateway. So I could surf to my hearts content without any blockage, I could even connect with P2P clients

interesting, if you try to use mp3car with this, you cant search "POST requests from foreign hosts are not allowed."

They filter the internet and log all traffic where I work so to bypass my workplaces firewall, I set up a linux box at home running web proxy(squid). Then used Putty to set up a SSH tunnel to the proxy and redirected my browser to that tunnel's redirected port.
