Bytch about your Car!

simple enough. tell us some horror stories about your car aka Bytch about it!

ive got enough to write a book about. all my mom's car's shes owned in her lifetime :

Chevy Blazer (circa '91): not too much bad to say about it. heck, my mom loved that thing. it was also a 4x4 model which was nice at our old house. that house had a nice incline on the driveway to where if it got iced over good enough, it was a major pita to get out with a 2 wheel drive vehicle. even with fwd vehicles it would be a pain. but that blazer would get out without a problem. only problem iirc was that that blazer was one of a small batch that had a wrong size engine put in. its final day it through a rod and was pretty mutch toast.

Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera (circa sometime after the blazer): lets see. where do i start? engine kept falling apart. was always nickle and diming it to death. muffler fell off more than once. emergency brake was busted. could drive just fine with it on. had enough rust to make a junkyard look pristine. on a white car no less. shall i go on?

'90 Mitsubishi Galant (circa sometime around '00-ish): power steering had a constant slow leak. and to fill it you had to reach through the engine compartment to where it was down by the ground. it finally died when the transmission croaked and we had no warranty on it. bad idea.

'96 windstar (circa feb. 2001): infamous chime annoyance where it would come on below 10mph and shut off above 15mph. it occasionally quits. transmission died once. had a warranty so out-of-pocket costs were only about $300-$350. transmission tried a second time, but it seems to have cleared up since then. after the car would warm up, the transmission would jerk, shift to low gear and stay there for the rest of the trip. once the car was off and cooled back down it would go back to normal. i should also mention that no matter the lengthiness of the diagnostics put on the car, these problems could never be solved.

ok. lets hear your horror stories.....common. i posted mine. yours cant be all that bad

Chevy Van G20 1990 (1998-Present) Nickname Princess Or Bytch

Got the van in 98, I was young it was my 1st vehicle and I needed a large vehicle to lug DJ equiptment around. It was this or a Caravan so I chose this
three months go by not knowing much about cars in general never really checked the oil <not knowing chevys burn it> So im being a typical new driver DICKHEAD and race my friend down the highway get into the neighborhood and what "whos there" hello whos knocking did i hit someone NOPE its the engine.... princess bytch didnt like not getting her oil (and at this point given the circumstances i cant blame her).

So 3 months and $3,000 later Ive got a new engine Yippie. but wait thats not good enough for the "bytch" because this new engine is more powerful and it hurt the little bytches feelings or something. So one day im going in reverse and i press on the gas and.....VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM ....
nothing... reverse gear snapped.

try parking a 2 ton van in your high school parking lot with no reverse for a month or so while u dig up the money to pay for a tranny. so one day i pull into the parking lot late i might add, couldnt quite make that turn so i got out of the van left it in neutral and had to push the van backwards so that i could park. no one was outside anymore becuase i was late but i know there was at least one kid in 2nd period class gazing out the window in my 2000+ student high school like WTF!@#.

So I decided to get the transmission from my uncle whos a parts guy rather than rebuilding because i loved the "bytch"...
Ahh now were talking i got my new motor and tranny yea whooo hah

NOPE
ALTERNATOR , WATER PUMP, BATTERY
then in 2000 i get into an accident some girl in ANOTHER VAN rear ends me. Figures right a car could hit me at 30 and not make a dent but this chick comes at me full force while im stopped at a light.. need a new left door and tire carrier and bumper. insurance check comes and guess what, now the trannys messin up again but how am i supposed to know that right away after the accident i dont because "bytches" like to keep little secrets. and tell you them at the worst possible moment
she decides to tell me on my way uphill on the way home one night drive axle cracks and I... give it more gas and am slowing down.... no wait ....going BACKWARDS EBRAKE TIME

insurance check pays for a rebuilt tranny and i cheap out on the rear door and get a junk yard one
ok im in this for the long haul huh damn right so i drop a bunch i wont even say how much on custom painting the van
last month the front end went, cost $1,300 ( i like front end when there free )

I got rear ended AGAIN recently by a pickup truck 2500 dodge ram super duty of course no little S10
and low and behold my tranny seems like its been acting up lately so im dropping the bytch off to be worked on to repair the rear door again! next week and hopefully i might be able to claim the tranny problem under insurance....the saga continues

Cars=Money+Time+Patience
but if i didnt have a car well then i wouldnt be talking to you people now would I

seriously. one of these days im going to have to fit my mountain bike with a few more gears and a scooter engine after hearing so many horror stories over the years. i can usually hit 45 in high gear on that thing if i wanted.

but i digress. more horror stories!

My Miata. Damn check engine light. I know what the problem is, its trivial. I dont feel like fixing it and Im tired of the blinking light. It needs a wax too and I havent found the time to do it.

My 03 ranger. Well, the GF's Civic is about to take a dump. Its worth nothing if it dont run, so I let her borrow my truck to deliver Pizza in. BIG MISTAKE. She ends up gouging the paint with her belt buckle loading pizzas in the back. She has offered to pay for the damage, but Im going to be the one paying it, because Ive agreed to help her put a down payment on a new car so she can stop driving mine. She spends a Grand having the truck bed repainted... and its another grand I'll have to help her on the down payent. that brings us to... her civic.

The '97 civic. Has 160, thousand miles, has no third gear and a busted CV axle. Thats pretty poor for japaneese reliability. (see beater truck, below). It still moves, so We hope to get about $900 for it. It might make it another 30,000 as it sits... it might not make it 30, but Im not putting any more money into this one. so for sale it goes.

The beater truck. I bought this SWEET 1884 ford ranger. 219kmiles, original tranny and engine. Straight body. Funny the ford lasting longer than the honda and this is running good, and has an automatic. But it nees a paint job! and AC work. DAMN. I love this truck, best $500 I ever spent. The GF can scratch this bich up all she wants.

My Seca II. Ok, its not a car. But I can ***** about the bike. Im crusing home from work, pull in the clutch, and SNAP!! Clutch cable broke. Anyone here ever rode a motorcycle in stop and go, rush hour traffic? with no clutch??? DAMN!!

The RX-8. I dont talk about this one much. It is a $35k, 9,000 RPM, 18"wheeled rolling piece of art. The worst problem is I cant buy it because the insurance would be more than my car note!! Damn! Maybee If I got rid of some cars Id have some where to put it...

... on top of that, I cram all this 5hit into a driveway and a one car garage! Damn!

Oh yeah, and the GF's new car? its a toyota prius thats on order. When we get it, that will be like 6 or 7 vehicles?!?! people alrady think Im a car whore

DAMN, 121 years old, and still running? Now that's Ford Built Tough....

Anyways, all I have to say is Mercury Sable!!

But, I guess that you guys might want some details.

The car: 1993 Mercury Sable GS 3.8L V6.
Original Owner: My older brother (Brand New)
Next Owner: My older sister (1999-2002)
Current Owner: Me

Problems that we have had:

Engine died at about 85,000 Miles. Transmission died at 90,000. Little things here and there. I think total repair costs over the 13 years has been like $10,000. It's pretty ridiculus, but insurance is really cheap for this pyle of **** that isn't even worth the metal it was made with.

I'm currently on the look out for '98-'02 Accord V6, '96 BMW M3/'96-'98 3 Series/Lexus SC300/400, 03 Mazdaspeed Protoge, '03 Nissan Sentra SER/Spec-V

Peace,

Rafster

My 93 accord, No exaust well it has a pipe but nothing else,I got a warning for it on the highway, just seems a little wierd to me, seats are cracked all to hell and the stupid drink holders spring mech. is all jacked so it just hangs out, 218,000 miles, still running the stock bose head unit with an acura cd deck add on in the glovebox, for some reason it pops and hisses all the time when you have the radio on, it went away after I was playing music at max volume for a while, hopefully its fixed, Carpets all screwed up ac's long gone and my heater knob is too, my brakes squeal, someone told me once that it meant they needed to be changed, Im broke anyway so forget that idea, its a darkgreen black paintjob you know looks black at night darkgreen in direct sunlight, gets hot as hell in the sun, good news is that the sunroof works great but they're overated anyway, ohh yeah and i bought some altezza tail lights when i was in a ricer phase or something.

My 98 explorer, such a piece that i named myself after it, now i'm stuck with a stupid name and if it wasnt for my measly post count id get a new one, change is so hard for me, dont get me wrong it was my baby for a while then it went bonkers on me, my trailer lights grounded out on the frame and blew my interior and tail lights, wasnt a fuse, then the timing pulley goes and shatters on me and decides to come out in small peices when i'm getting my oil changed, even before that the thermostat goes out and im up at a lake in the middle of summer, I had to drive home with the heat all the way up, plus my cdplayers lcd went out, how gay is that, i love guessing what station i'm on, hey i'm poor i listen to the radio, now my dad has it and he can deal with the problems, he even gave me 7 gs for it, weird but i kinda miss it

1995 Lexus SC300: Got the car with a glued on gas tank cap, and anyone was able to open it if they knew were to push. Passenger window does not go down all the way. Passeneger door lock broken. Ugly third brakelight. Stereo would work on some days and not on others. Power steering pump is slowly leaking.

ok, so from the beginning

1991 Honda civic LX 4 door

my first car. loved it to death! i bought for 1200 with 213k sold for 1100 with absoultely no maintenance (except oil) and 250k. amazingly well kept car, like new paint/interior, clutch was awesome. nothing except two timing belts (not me) was changed on the car.

1987 300zx
first sports car. this is what i sold my civvy for and I wish I had it still. It had so many issues when i bought it, but noone could tell me better, I had to have it.

so first day I bought it. gas gauge was broke and looked like it said 1/2 full (read: nice walk to a gas station)

3 days later tune up (350$) ran awesome for about 2 weeks then the alternator went followed by the battery and the distributor
so all this gets replaced so no engine problems at this point. just leaky t-tops,leaky a/c core, brakes, tires, suspension, body dmg, none of this mattered a whole lot as I was still doing 143 down 80 every day on bald tires (i know, idiot).so i ended up paying around 4500 and the engine seized (i checked the oil the day before it was fine) it must have been a leak or something or the fact that it threw a rod first. then it sat at this shop for like 3 days, my dad calls me up and hes like "you need to go pick your stuff up from the shop" I was like "what??". "Oh i signed the title over to them" HOLY ***** I WANTED TO KILL HIM! so now i have spent 4500 to get it to where it is now and he signs the title over, needless to say i needed a new car

03 Pontiac "SunFlamer"

my parents came homeand they're like, come outside. so we walk out and there in the driveway sits an automatic 2003 sunflamer. I tell them thanks and take it for a drive, its alright. certainly not the Z so i drive this for like 3 months and some guy in a mercedes side swipes me and totals it (9k damage)

1991 Mazda MX-6

loved this car, power nothing (less **** to break), no interior lighting cept gauges. I ran into a Kia Sedona minivan in this, they were stopped int he middle of a blind turn. no brake lights or turn sigs... (another totaled car)

1990 honda civic DX

thinking that my first civvy was a good representation of reliability i bought this... problems out the ***.. didn't spend **** on it. drove it for like 20k miles and junk'd it

1993 Honda civic LX 4dr

current car, no problems yet *knock on wood* all it needed was tires hopefully it will not have the same fate as my others...
