Question why does everyone call ac controls HVAC

Why do people call their vehiclesac controls HVAC controls
wouldnt they be like mvac controls or something I shoulda took the test for that when I becam e epa certified then maybe I'd remember.

I'm no expert so dont qoute me here, but
I always thought HVAC meant high volume like the air conditioning used to cool large buildings and stuff

I dont really care but its been so long since i posted that I thought I'd add to the mass of useless posts clogging up the new posts section

<<= i just figured out what rtfm means, derrr

HVAC = heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

I don't know about you, but my car has a heater.

Well the controls are for the heater, the vent (recirculate, dash, windscreen, floor, speed etc) and the air conditioning. so therefore they are HVAC controls. nuff said!
