Apple releases the new iPod Nano

Well, looks like Apple’s updating their iPod starting lineup—welcome the iPod nano (and wave goodbye to the mini, which is now missing from Apple’s page after they announced it going south earlier today). The 3.5 x 1.6 x 0.27-inch device will feature 500 song/2GB and 1,000 song/4GB capacities, a 1.5-inch color display, and, of course, a click wheel, which appears to have a drastically larger center button. If you’re willing to ignore the fact that the headphone jack is located on the bottom of the device (sigh), you’ll be otherwise rewarded with a device that’s no more than 62% the size of the once diminutive iPod mini; it weighs 1.5 ounces (42 grams), has a maximum of 14 hours battery life, will come in black (as well as iPod white), and includes a few new niceties such as a nighttime inverse screen mode. Expect it to have a $199 and $249 pricetag; dock ($29) not included, and new lanyard headphones will be available for $39.

Apple Ipod's = All show no go , if you get what I mean. Theres almost nothing you can do than play songs , but it costs much more than the competition(wich has lots of features like radio fm , usb host, recorder etc....)
Its just style, kids go a school and show off their stupid mp3 player, and everyone is like ohhh hes cool I need one!

Sheik is Sheik.
Rich is rich.
I got my iPod mini from helping my dad buy his new iMac (free with purchase), but I dont use it. I got a CD player in the car (eventually to be a carputer) I have a mac at work and at home. Where inbetween do I even need an mp3player except the 2 times a year I fly. For that I have an MP3CD portable cd player.

..and then it gets stolen etc. I have one, only because it was a gift, I would have spent 300 elsewhere. I like it, helps me pass time by in school.

I dont have an mp3 plaer, never have had one....
But when I saw the nano I wished I were an mp3-player addict.... its ******* beautiful... its not all the more expensive than a mini.... the 4gm nano cost the same as the 6gb mini used to cost....
its less than half the size of the mini, 2/3 storage, same price.... sorry it isnt unreasonable...
