Window Problem
Alright so my room mate refuses to leave the window closed. He always has to have it open. Why? Cause he's like the male version of a fat chick. I suppose that'd be called a fat guy. Anyway I can't stand it so I need to think of a way to jam the window closed somehow without it being obvious. I could do a good solder or weld or something, but a welder is hard to come by, and either of these is too obvious.
I need some subtle way of forcing the window to stay closed as much as possible. Anyone got ideas?

It would help us if you would tell us what kind of window ? Im guessing its metal , but does it slide up ir what? Post a pic. If its wood drills some holes and screw it. If its metal I guess you can still do that.

It's metal. Screws again are too obvious. If I were to sabatoge it, then it would have to appear to be a malfunction. The window slides horizontally.

If it slides horizontally you can put some metal dowels (or wood painted to match) inside the notchs where the window slides. Be sure to do it for both windows if they both move. That's done a lot of times with vertical and horizontal windows to hold the window in position for air conditioners.

How about getting some extra bedsheets ? Or nag about how cold it is every 5 minutes (thats what my fiencee does)
If you must sabotage the window and its vertical just glue the whole bottom... but you need a solution thats easily reversable come spring time when its hot as balls again.
Ahh one more thought, I had a friend who had an obnoxious roommate (straight out of startrek, unibrow and all) We sabotaged him, so that he was moved into another dorm... no roomamte... no problem...

Explain.
The problem I'm having is that if the window wont open, he will call the maintainence guys. I'm sure the maintainence guy will tear the window apart, and if he finds that someone welded it together, I'm sure there's going to be some sort of punishment for that.
*****ing constantly probably wouldn't work on him. It's not really my personality either. It would probably change his attitude towards me.

Hang a dead cat outside. After a few weeks he won't want to open the window.

Dude, you're *****ing and moaning to us... why not to him?
Go to whoever organizes the dorms and tell them you're not getting along with your roommate and ask to be moved.
Or deal with it.
But for god's sake, DO MAKE THREADS ABOUT ALL YOUR FREAKIN' PROBLEMS!

Little bus special or gold star sticker special?
I guess I'll get to know the regulars a little better over time. I don't have many days I can get on here, so it may take a while. I have learned that Scouse is obsessed with the mustard highway and is responsible for probably half the storage space used by the server . There are quite a few others, but he is most obvious.
