The scenario goes ... While walking to your car in a dark parking lot you observe a man busting a car lock with a crowbar....

Arebelspy, you would just turn a blind eye to this suspected car theft? Hope your not the only guy around if someone was breaking in to my car.

I think by calling the cops (while driving away) does not put yourself in danger. "Hello Police? ya', there's a guy busting into a car in the "xyz" parking lot at y and r street....see ya".
