Unhappy Was rear ended on Monday

I was heading home after looking at a beater RX-7 for the winter ($250...hehehe). I made a quick stop because the guy in front of me did, and was promptly rear ended. The woman behind me smashed her '98 Toyota Corolla into my rear at about 35-40KM/H. The impact crushed the rear bumper, destroyed the left muffler, crumpled the quarter panels, sent the gas tank 2 inches forward, displaced the spare tire, smashed the taillights and shiftedn the entire rear of the car down about half an inch. Even the ashtray flew out of it's holder and hit the windshield. A fuel line split and sprayed gas all over the hot exhaust system and the road. Thankfully, nothing caught fire but the fire department had to close the street for half an hour to clean up.

I was wearing my seatbelt, but still sustained neck and back injuries. I went to the hospital, and the doctor said I should be fine but to check back in a week to be sure. The woman was wearing her seatbelt, and lucky for her, her child was properly strapped into a child seat in the rear, as both airbags deployed.

At first I thought the car was totalled, and was gathering all my reciepts to present to the insurance guy, but he said that they will fix it! Yes! I didn't want a bunch of cash and a new car, I want my RX-7. It is my first car, and I have planned to keep it all my life.

So now I have a rental for a month or so. It's a 2001 Kia Rio. Very ugly, very small, very slow, very quiet, but good on gas. And it's probably the only car Discount Car Rentals has in their fleet with an MP3 player....

Here's what she did to my car:

(Edit...Can't spell)

oh, man, that sucks. it doesnt look like it was hit at ~40mph. that was a good $250 spent and its a good thing that nobody was seriously hurt. heh. thats cool that you put the mp3 player in the rental. how else would you survive the rental process?

I have been rear ended once too.

My car was rearended at such a speed it spun the car around, hit the kerb sideways and few up in the air end-over-end rolling in the air a few times, hit the ground n rolled once more, before comming to a complete stop on its wheels. Luckily i only susbtained a bruised elbow and a few back sublaxations (nothing a chiro cant fix ) My car was totalled, and the other driver didn't stop!!!

I know how u feel, thats gotta suck, hope you get it fixed soon,

haha and top job on the mp3 player in the rental car

A impossible task...

This guy is walking on the beach somewhere in California. He sees a lamp, rubs it, and a Genie comes out. The genie is so happy that he decides to grant one wish to the lucky guy.

The guy thinks about it and says, "I'd like you to build a highway to Hawaii because I am afraid to fly. The genie responds that this can't be done because it would be technologically impossible considering the depth of the ocean and the distance to Hawaii. So he asks the guy to wish for something else.

The guy thinks about it and, very enthusiastically, wishes he would understand women.

The genie than said, "Do you want your highway to have 2 or 4 lanes?"

lol

BEGIN Future Lawyer mode:

when you go back to the doctor, tell him you "have neck pains." Then call a personal injury lawyer, he'll be delighted that you went to the hospital in the first place.

of course, that may only work here in the US

END Future Lawyer mode:
