Red face god damn university car regulations

i have spent loadsa time on my mp3player and even more time getting my car together during my year out (respray - etc.), and i found out 2day that stsudents can`t park cars on the campus, and cause the university in the centre of a city, there is no practical way of keeping it near the university (well i could, but it would cost like £20 a day in a private car park).... so i had 2 leave my mp3car @ home, over 200 miles away

i`ve now got 2 endure 3 years car-less i now know how boring it is 2 walk again.

theres also another reason why i haven`t been here recently.... there no internet access in my dorm at the moment, i`m in a booked computer room at the moment, so sorry if i havent replied to any posts.

also... does anyone here know of a way round this? i was told that only under "exeptional circumstances" would i be allowed to park my car on the site, and yet the car parks are only 3/4 full!
maybe i could use the mp3box as a part of a project or something.

if anyone has been in a similar situation or anything, then please reply, as i really really want my car back...

anyway, i ripped most of the computer bits out of my car, so i can continue working on this neverending project

Got any doctors as family friends? Thats what most people do here at school, they get them to say something like "Asthmatic that cannot be forced into unnecessary exertion, or bad knees or something of the like" Universities always make exceptions for doctors notes, especially if they are an alumnus that donates big money every year, or you could hire some guy to break your leg for you and you'd have a real excuse. Or you could just make the worlds first known Mp3Moped and park it at the bike racks, thats probably the safest best :-p Just a thought

that brings up a good topic. i just transfered down to a university in southern illinois and i found that i dont use my car mp3 player as much now, which really ****es me off. i drive about 20 minutes to work 3 times a week but thats about all i would ever use it. i brought it down with me and put it in a duffle bag so i can take the box and lcd with me back to my dorm when im not in the car (security purposes). but the cool thing is that i have a 6hr drive home and man it sure is nice to have the player with me. i wanna find new crap to do but im stuck for right now. its kind of hard to work on stuff when you dont have a nice garage to work in.

I`ve now got a mountin bike here, and i must say that using an mpman offers very limited capacity.... i could do an mp3moped, but where would i put my 10" lcd?

i am missing my car less now, i just have to keep thinking how much money i`m saving (insurance, fuel, etc)
