Post Ripping streaming audio

Does anyone know how to do this, or if it is possible. I have spent quite a while trying to figure it out but can't find a good program, and the only ones that actually work create huge files. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

when u mean huge files your talking wavs?

i have seen programs that can ripp the sound card output. My guess would be it would be dumped as a WAV file, then just compress with lame/etc... as per usuall.

just have a nice chunk of hdd space!

if you wanna rip shoutcast get a program called stream ripper 32...there is nothing better... mp3s get actual track names and are created as individual files...incomplete files are saved in incomplete folders...its perfect.

I've used a program called ASFRecorder in the past to rip ASF's, WMA's, WMV's, and thier redirectors: ASX's, WMX's, WVX's. You can find it here.
