I want to upgrade GF's computer

Hey guys I am just looking on some input. My GF rite now has an HP Pavillion 7935. Its slow and crappy. I just wanna upgrade it to something more efficient. I would like to use the same case as well. Any1 have any reccomendations to a Motherboard/CPU/RAM combo package with integrated audio/video?? At a reasonable price. She is not looking to spend to much.

This is what I am thinking of:

Is this stuff all compatible??

CPU:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...Tab=2&NoMapp=0

Motherboard:
http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdetails.asp?model=p4m80-m7

RAM:
http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/conf...R400X64C3A/512

Main concern is if the CPU will work with the mobo....

doubt it. get a cheap case for $25 shipped and then sell the HP as a full PC.

or donate it to me, I set them up for local scholarship houses here at the university of florida

You'll probably need a new case and power supply. Case because the new mobo probably won't fit, and psu because the new case probably won't accept the hp psu.

yes, let me look for program. Been years sense i used it. brb.

I found this, have NEVER used it, well just now. I cant find the one i used. I think it had a horse as the file image. I cant remeber.

http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

I just installed and uninstalled. Ima run full scans now and see if it left anything behind. I dont have anything on here to bugger with.

From doing a quick search on google it seems pretty safe. If you are going to reformat and stuff, then no worries i guess eh.

http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml

Run that on her computer to find her key.

Whether you can use your cd with her key depends on where it came from. Her key will be an oem key. If your cd came with an hp or dell or something, than you can probably use it. If your cd is corporate or if you bought it at a store (retail) then you can't use it. If you try a key that doesn't match the cd, it will call it invalid and not accept it. Of course it's possible to change a retail cd to an oem cd and whatnot, but that's another story.
