Everytime I have something shipped and it comes by purolator, its a pain in the ***. Any time its possible, I avoid them at all costs. This pain they cause in my *** was no exception today.
So I wake up, and am expecting a package to arrive, I check the site and sure enough, it left for delivery at 7:54. To make sure there is no confusion, as purolator tends to get confused very easily, I take a full sheet of A4 paper, and write on it in 2" letters with a black Sharpie:
PUROLATOR
DELIVERY FOR
JARED SAVAGE
BUZZ #7
and tape it beside the keypad for buzzing appartments, as there are a LOT of names on the list, and it can be hard for those delivery guys to pick mine out.
Sure enough, just 5 minutes ago, I checked the web tracking to see "2006/01/20 10:56 Address Correction Required" So I call them up, and am informed that my name was not on the board.
It was all I could do not to start yelling at that poor girl.
The wonderful thing about purolator as well, is that they do not make second delivery attempts. So now, on MONDAY. I have to drive 40km round trip to pick up a parcel that was meant (and PAID FOR) to arrive at my door, but thanks to the common incompetance of the entire purolator family, did not.
