Post Speakers to replace factory ones

What speakers would you's guys recomend to replace my factory ones (6.5 inch speakers). My head unit is an Aiwa CDC-MP3 which has 22 watts RMS/45 peak x 4 channels

I was looking at cerwin-vega's HED line which are 99 a pair: http://crutchfield.com/S-kKRpP2FhXUR...=050HED162&s=0

I know not much about car speakers/audio so I would definately appreciate any suggestions.

I got Infinitys and i love 'em. I dont see the same ones on Crutchfield but they'll be on www.futureshop.ca reference series 625i and 4652cf (6.5 inch and 4x6). they have a turnable tweeter dome too, *ooohhh turnable* My HU has the same wattage output as your and they thump hard when you turn up the bass

A buddy of mine has sony's and they suck.

just checked and i dont think i payed so 149 CDN for 'em..

Just about anything is better than the paper factory speakers toyota gives you. JBL, Rockford, Infinity, Alpine, Pioneer...all good name speakers. If you are considering an amp...stay with the same brand and you will have a hard time going wrong. Pioneer and MTX definitely do not mix nor does Infinity with JBL amps. Rockford amps work with about anything and Infinity speakers work with just about any amp except california pro (but what does?). Unless you get an amp, 45 watts a channel will drive any speaker without blowing it (almost any). If you arent going with an amp, Infinity or JBL (GTO series if you can find them) are two great brands that will give you a much better sound than the paper cones you have now.

I got a set of Polk 5" with seperate tweeters. Very clear speakers, but they require a sub for low signals.
