Detecting Lying Tips

Hey I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed hints that people commonly make, to suggest that someone is lying...

everytime I talk to my girlfriend and KNOW she is lying, I notice a few blatent actions.
-"I swear to god!"
-"When I say I swear to god, I seriously mean it"
-looks to the left
-"you dont trust me?"
-and sometimes she says things like 'why dont you come see me at work' when I know she has the day off, and she knows I hate driving in the part of town. I sometimes consider visiting her work to verify my suspisions but it's just too far out of the way.

has anyone else noticed things people do when they lie? It would be nice to have a better idea of when shes lying or not.....and what I can do to get away with lying....

I talked to a police investigator at my bar a couple weeks ago. He was in town taking a class from the FBI about the kind of stuff you are talking about. I wish I would have gotten some more info from him. He told me part of the class was watching the taped police interviews with Scott Peterson and focusing on all the little things he consistantly did with his body language while lying. He said it was one of the most interesting classes he has ever taken.

Now about your situation: Dude, if she is lying to you and you know it, get rid of her!

covering your face by touching you nose chin etc is also considered a sign of lying

I think best lie detectors are probability theory and statistics:

If its unbelivable (odds of happening are small) -> is very likely a lie.
If its happening constantly -> is very likely a lie.
If its unbelivable and happening constantly -> she is insulting u.

and as one of my best friends, who happens to be a beautiful girl, once told me: no body can be 100% trusted. temptation can always get the best of us.

I dont know if I completely agree. I would like to beleive that I am a very loyal boyfriend to her. but I do have a penis. lol jk

I'm not worried about her cheating on me or anything like that. It's little stupid **** like....girly things. and crap between her friends.

fact is all girls lie...and sometimes for very stupid reasons. just because someone lies doesnt mean they're doing something really wrong.....but never trusting your gf, especially if its so much that you feel the need to post it on the internet, where your friends family, or even she could see it....isn't good. You should either talk to her about it, or just get rid of her. Don't put up with it if its bothering you that much.

on another note, i saw on a tlc show.....rolling your eyes back and to the left is a lie.....and to the right is a subconcious attempt to remember. Don't know if I buy that, as I find it hard to roll my eyes back and to the right.
