My JL 8W6 arrived this morning
Unfortuneately it'll be a while before I fit it in the car
But come the Summer look (listen) out for a noisey Mini

any decisions on an amplifier yet?
your timeline for your sub sadly looks like my timeline for my 5.6inch TFT I really need to pull my finger out and finish my TFT mp3car application.

I'm thinking about a Kenwood Amp for the back, due to the fact I can get a second hand one very cheap, as one of the channels is dead. Might be able to fix the channel and run it in bridged mode, is I can't it's no real loss.
Tested the sub, and it sounds, (correction feels) sweet.

JL Subs Should Have A Health Warning
JL Subs Should Have A Health Warning
As I'm inbetween cars I decided to build a box for my sub, so following JL's guide lines I knocked one up and connected it up. Oh my, with in a couple of mins of turning it no I felt rather sick, now I know why they use these things as a reference when bench marking 12" subs, they are leathal.
Really can't wait for Mini 2, now.

Here's a little pic, the sign was aquire back when I was at Uni, I think, but I'm not sure. Both amp an d EQ will be accompanying the sub in Mini 2, sign won't as it to tacky.
