going off of that 45ft waterfall in Ecuador 2 years ago and compressing my spine...landed to flat at the bottom, and even though I was fully leaning forward in my kayak (so my spine wasn't vert) I still managed to compress pretty much every vertabra in my back.
Lieing to, to many people throughout the course of my almost 19 years on this Earth. I live a more honest and down to Earth life now than I did before. I'm much happier now than I was back then living lies and pretending.
Not realizing that 4 of my friends left a party and got into a car accident that night because the driver was drunk. 2 died in the crash, 1 on the way to the hospital, and the last one clinged to life for 3 weeks before passing. This ended my crazy partying days (I was 17 at the time), I won't drive now if I have more than 1 or 2 beers in me. Life's to short to go and risk it on something as stupid as that.
As bad as some of those lessons are, I don't really regret any of it. If it didn't happen I wouldn't be the person I am today. I take every mistake I make and learn my lesson from it so I don't repeat the same one again and again, over and over.
My life philosophy is Never Regret, Never Forget (I'm getting it as a tattoo in chinese symbols on the insides of my biceps. In chinese because I'm half asian so it's part of my heritage not because it's trendy). Never regret the things you've done, learn from them and never repeat the same mistakes again. Never forget who you are and the people who are most important to you in your life.
