Hey All, Me Again, Just wondering if you electronics god's could pass on some wisdom :-) I'm just wondering how you go about etching your own circuits, like what you need, how you go about it...etc etc.... Any info/links/prices will be appreciated! Thanks guys

I use this stuff:

Then etch with Ferric Chloride as normal.

For designing I use expresspcb:

Then screen grab, bit of editting with paint shop pro and print onto the press and peel with a laser printer. Works great.

I've never heard of the stuff Rob mentioned, but seems pretty good idea, especially if your on a budget.

I've allways used UV light boxes myself, cost a bit, and you have to use photo sensitve boards, but they are a better option if your planning of doning a fair few boards, again pretty easy to use.

For etching I tend to use the standard Ferric Chloride, I've used the heated chambers with spray jets, and the like and I'm not that impressed with them to be honest.

Your might as well use trays of chemicals, and rubber gloves.

Before you start work out how you're going to get rid of the used chemicals, since your not supposed to pour them down the drain.
