Amazon UK rant

Whatta **** is up with that store... they say theres limitation of delivery on LARGE electronics, like tellies and such...

small items are supposed to be available to dispatch anywhere in europe...

and yet i cant buy powered USB switch i really need badly, cause its delivered only in ******* UK, and its half the price there i can find anywhere else damn ****-up store...

BTW not first time with that damn shop... i needed once adapter between my calculator and lap (about size of usb memory stick and few attached cables) and they cant deliver??!! WTF!!! had to buy elsewhere...

v8 scimitar is on a distinguished road
its warranty issues, totally stupid I know but most electronic manufacturers will only warranty goods in the county they were sold.

I forced lazy bear to do just that... but if v8 above is right, it might not help...

Hmmm can he be right? surely there would be some EU directive against that kind of restriction of internal trade?

Yeah, email was not helpful, i got served by dumb indian ****tard customer agent, with basic message: **** you, come again.

Amazon is on good way to be issued with bear-boycott. 7/10 stores ever issued with that have been bankcrupted. Not claiming it would be the cause, rather their general customer responsiveness.

Here's a transcript of my emails (well ok, not all emails - it's a form you fill out online, then they email you back - they make it ******* hard to contact them, and the email address they send it from is not one you can reply to )

Quote:
Dear Customer

Thank you for writing to Amazon.co.uk regarding your order
#0**-9*****0-*******.

I would like to extend my apologies for any inconvenience caused. We
highly appreciate your patience and understanding in this case.

Please be assured that we would assist you in this case.

I have checked your order and found that you may have already received
an e-mail message from us about this order.

We here at Amazon customer service continuously strive to assist the
customers in each and every way can and feel disappointed when we
are unable to fulfill customer orders in time. I hope you can
understand our limitations as a retailer.

In general, we strive to keep the availability listings on our
website accurate for a single copy of any 24 hour item. On rare
occasions, we will receive multiple orders for the same item in a
short period; this can add time to our original availability
estimate. This appears to be what happened in your case.

We are sorry to report that there has been an unexpected delay in
obtaining "Lessons in Your Rucksack: The Complete TEFL Survival Guide
(Paperback)".

Sometimes unexpected fluctuations in supply can add time to our
original availability estimate. We have learned that "Lessons in Your
Rucksack: The Complete TEFL Survival Guide (Paperback)" is now back-
ordered, and our supplier has not been able to let us know exactly
when they expect to have more in stock.

Availability: usually dispatched within 4 to 6 weeks.

You can check this with the link given below:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1904549071/

We have passed your enquiry to our ordering department who will chase
up your order. It is very important to us that you receive your order,
and we will try to dispatch it to you as soon as possible. We will
contact you by e-mail if this item should prove to be unavailable.

On the date of dispatch, we will send you an e-mail confirming the
date, contents and method of delivery.

In addition to our large selection, one of the benefits we'd like to
offer our customers is convenience, and we have not met that standard
in this case. Please accept our sincere apologies.

We do appreciate your business, and would like to give you a 3.00 GBP
promotional gift certificate, for use toward your next Amazon.co.uk
order.

The promotional gift certificate funds have already been added to
your Amazon.co.uk account.

When you place a qualifying order you will be able to see that the
value of your gift certificate has been deducted from the total cost
in the order summary. When you have successfully placed your order,
the following message will be displayed: "Thank you--we have received
your order".

If you click on the "Your Account" link, located at the top of our
homepage, you'll be able to view details of your order.

To check the status of your order, or view estimated dispatch and
delivery dates, please visit Your Account at the top of any page on
our website or use the following URL:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/your-account/

If you wish to cancel the item or order, please visit the following
link:

have caused to you.
