Computer and Sound

Um i was thinking about running the sound from my computer into another room inside the house? how would i go about doing that?


So that if i turn winamp on the computer...not only will it play there but also in the other room if enabled....

Send it through a different channel or different soundcard. If stereo in each place is ok, then have the front left and right speakers go to room A, and the rear left and right to room B. Or if you want 4ch and more for each room, then get 2 soundcards.

If you have wireless internet/router there are various products that will wirelessly transmit your audio/video stream to another room which you can connect to any audio system with RCA inputs.

If you are shopping for it it's in the networking sections and they are called multimedia networking. For example here is a link:

I thought he alread yhad the means to get it to a different room, now he just needed to control when that room's sound should be on/off and volume ect. Atleast that's what I got.
