Just select the option to call to validate (when you activate windows) instead of activating via internet.

Then, the activation proggy will ask you to select your nearest location, it will pop up a phone no, and you call that number. Follow instructions, as if to activate the install, the activation service will inform you that you have activated this product to many times, blah-blah-blah - stay on the line to chat to the MS-agent on the other end of the line, and he will give you a new activation code

make sure ur in the car when you call... the call by validation will give you a 50 digit code that you will have to give to him so he can give you ANOTHER code. Funny thing about this way of handling things is the copy doesnt really have to be valid.. they will give you your numbers as many times as you want them.

You can just write down your authorization request number, read it to him, then write down the activation code he gives you......then type it in when convenient.

If there was more compatible software and hardware for nix I would, but untill then windows is the only option.

And you're living in a dreamworld.

There is enough proof out there that linux isn't more secure, reliable, stable etc....

Both are good Os'es, both for different applications, and for now, Windows is the OS for Carputers.

Linux will get it's time, but it still has a fair way to go before it will be an equal to Windoze in Carputer environment - if you are after decent GPS, frontends, OBD-II support J2534, etc....
