BulletXp and Hiberation

Is this possible?
The option is not there!
I have checked the tick box in power management.
Is it possibly something in the BIOS, it's a brand spanking Motherboard, so would expect support for it!

Thanks

Go to Start >> shutdown then hold shift, and 'standby' should turn into 'hibernate'

That's what I read, tried it on the one next to me but not the carpc.
Will I have to do that every time, is there not a hibernate command that I could create a desktop button or build it into a skin?

Thanks

i HAVE HIBERNATION WORKING WITH THE ABOVE UTILITY, Damn caps lock!!
The actual hibernation is somewhat hit and miss though, sometimes it will hibernate others it will hang. No particular pattern is arising, same drivers loaded each time, nothing changes!

Is it possible to save a hibernation state and get it to boot from the same hibernation image each time?

Called HORM - Hibernate Once Resume Many

Search these forums for it and perhaps also EWF - Enhanced Write Filter, should get you the information you need.

This could also be related to the fact BulletXP is a stripped out version of XP-Pro, so there could be a component missing/removed from the setup that is causing the problem, if its hanging due to software/services that wont end, there is a way of getting Windows to kill the task within 5secs and continue to hibernate as normal.

If that still doesnt work and you have a xopy of XP i would make a custom version of XP using NLite and tweak it to your setup, thats wot most of us do

Its easy when u get into it, all nlite does it let you choose what stuff you dont want in Windows such as printers, scanners it can drastically cut down on the size of the installation of windows and how much ram it consumes etc
