Ok i have a CF card with the os installed on it already.I was wondering if i wanted to test and see if a 3.5 hd would be better that it would ok for me to remove the CF card and put the standard hd as master and install xp i would still be able to put the cf card back in and not have to reinstall Xp on the card?

As long as the BIOS is updated this is not a problem.

Running them together may not work, but switching them is fine.

maybe clone the cf card and copy to 3.5" drive
