Vista doesn't sleep or hibernate when music is playing?

Vista can't sleep or hiberbate if computer is playing music or videos. I have tested this with Vista business and Vista Enterprise, and both act the same way. If I pause music, PC sleeps after one minute, just like I want it to do. If music is on, nothing happens. Is there other people struggling with this problem. Anyone got an idea could it be fixed with some kind of registration edit?

Any ideas, anyone?

Thats the way its supposed to work otherwise it would sleep when your trying to use it. It has no way of knowing whether your playing music and driving or playing music but not there. You need to send it some other kind of signal like a shutdown controller does or if its a laptop tell it to shutdown when power is removed.

I tried shutcontrol, but that's not working for me because it doesn't care if laptop is in use, when in battery mode. I set it to hibernate pc when powerchord is unplugged, that's how it's suppose to work, but I rarther use Windows own settings to hibernate/sleep mode. There's situations when I'm in parking lot waiting my wife. I don't want to keep engine on, so then pc thinks that "ok..after one minute I will go hibernate-mode".... so that's not suitable for me..

Don't connect the signal to the ign connect it to the acc that way you don't have to have the engine running. It just needs to be on the first click of the key.
