That's nothing compared to some of the desktops I've seen here at work. Worst I've seen is 1680x1050 filled with icons, to the point any new ones aren't visible, you have to browse to the desktop folder to find 'em.

LOL, funny thing is that can cause slow boot times also. I think on my CarPC I keep 13 icons or less. I also do not keep installers or full folders on the desktop either.

hey man it's a test machine for a reason, i don't really keep them auto arranged i just put them in the order i want.

but in my car pc i 3 shortcuts

RR
RRconfig
RR folder shortcut

well someone might prove me wrong, but i did not notice any difference when resuming from hibernate, i think this is because when resuming from hibernate windows does not use the boot.ini file, but i could be wrong.

I notice this also...... its seems it doesnt matter how massive or small your system is, the resume seems to be the same length of time, which for me is fairly fast. I think most of these tweaks work for cold boots.

Cold boot quicker, but resume the same.
