I am currently developing my car (Underconstruction) I have 21 Inch touch pannel as an inteface and I am running XP Pro Ed on compact flash as an OS. I know how to get programs to auto start by dropping them in the start dir.

However what I want to do is find something (program) that will automaticly scan the USB thumb drives when I plug them in and start playing them in winamp or and equivalent prog.

XP should already do this, the first time you plug it in it will ask you what you want to do. Play files, view them blah blah pick what you want and check the box that says always do this and it will never ask you again and will just play the files. Cant remember how to re-set this if at some point you have said do nothing.

you have a 21" touch screen?? what do you drive that you can fit a screen that big??
