What are you designing this in?
What OS will it work under?
EDIT: What video player are you using?
I have not really thought too much about OBDII... not really sure of all the stuff useful you could do with it. I am sure there is plenty, but I have never had one of the scanners to play with to see what all the codes were. I do have plans later on to integrate one of the relay boards(WizardPC's idea). The app is designed with Visual C++, and uses DirectX API for all of the UI stuff. The video player is just DirectShow, that I use to render to Textures in the app. So it supports all codecs, that you have installed. OS should work for all Windows... tested under Windows XP.

The end of the semester is coming up, so I am pretty busy with other stuff, but I hope to have a pretty close to finished version by the first of December.

What about radio tuner support? Like with a Hauppauge card?
Is this going to be free software? Would you support other people adding features to your software?

Yes, I have radio support also. I have the D-Link USB radio right now. So I am not sure about the Hauppauge card. It will be free software. I definately have no problems with other people helping me out either...

Very nice! I like it. It's clean and did I tell you I like it?
Open/Closed Source? More options mean more people can choose and more ideas for people to develope from.
This is how we get good software. I am for it.

I use www.sigalert.com on my laptop via Sprint PCS Vision for traffic reports.

Dayum this looks gooooooood!!
I can't wait to see some more of it!! If you could embed Destinator as well (real simple, just call the window and that's it, it's there) then that would be great!

Will it be skinnable and able to use any winamp visualization (ie: Tripex3)? Can't wait to see some updates. I've been looking for a good frontend based on winamp that has the look and feel I'm after.

Chut,
The program itself is ready for an alpha. I am making some last minute changes to the program, and also trying to finish up the configuration utility. I have been using it in my car for the past couple of months, and it seems to work pretty well.

I have tried it with several vis's, it should work with anything, as long as I know what window to look for. I will have to put this into the config utility. Right now, that is MilkDrop.
