Hi Heckle,

From my first message:

Gbr - thanks for the quick reply.. but it will crash in the middle of the database build.. and when i reran it, the database was not completed so i would have to do it again.. (repeats cycle)
Until i moved the music away to where it wouldnt have that folder in its heirarchy.

I'll check that liink to see about the video portion of it.

No probs. At any rate, it's fixed now. As soon as my DNS starts working, I'll make it available.

libid3 will seg fault with some incorrectly tagged mp3s. See if re-tagging your bad mp3s will fix the problem.

gbr, I've found TagLib to be a lot more stable and much better supported than libid3. You should take a look at it if you haven't already. It may solve some of the seg fault problems your users were having during database building.

If you know what file it's crashing on, could you send it to me? I'll take a look at it from here.

Here its posted on my filebox

Let me know what you think..

I'm going through all my tags makin sure they are done properly. I had used MusicMatch's Supertaggin at first to get most of them and went though to correct the minor mistakes..

Thanks again

Thanks for the file.... the problem is fixed and will be available in the next release (as soon as I can get my VPN back up).

Your MP3 contained no mp3 header info (bitrate, frequency, etc).

Awesome! you are really movin' along (HA!). I will load it up and check it out as soon as I can.

On a side note:
I am really glad to see the Linux community here really starting to take off. As we all know custom devices is the place where Linux REALLY shines! (as well as servers, desktops, notebooks, handhelds, phones, watches, toasters... )

Cheers,

Source?

Hello,

I've looked at the pictures you've made available, and am very interested in trying this out. I am in the process of installing a Mac Mini in my H2 and am trying to pick a front end to use.

I run Fedora Core 4 (and Mac OS X) on my Mac Mini, however you only have intel binaries posted. Any chance you'd be willing to send the source over so I can create some PPC binaries?

Thanks,
-DJBS

Source will be available. I'm still on holidays, so it'll be awhile. There will also be a Mac version available.

Hey gbr,

have you given any thought to Wine/D3 integration?

I'm going to give it a look in the coming days, but maybe you have a headstart already or know a lot about something which can make you get to an end product quicker.

at your leisure you or other users wishing to contribute can check:
