getting the lat and lon takes a bit of work. It's not usually (read virtually never) provided by the site the cameras are on.

If you know the area where the cameras are, usually you have at least the roads the cameras are on in the description but also sometimes you have a nice little map. using this info you need to look on Google Earth to get the GPS coords. It's a bit of work, I would do it and have for the ones in London and some of the other UK ones, but trying to do it for countries I am not familiar with would be a lot of hard work. So if they are cameras in your area, please do a little of the footwork.

Also for the ones that are already in the database, if someome could find out the GPS coords for them (if everyone does the ones for their area then the work can be spread out) it would be great. Just make a text file with
CameraID, lon, lat.

If It is a new country it (at the moment,looking into changing this) will need a new exe, so therefore there will be an announcement.

If it is new cameras to an existing country then the database should update automatically, as long as there is an internet connection. (which there should be as you need an internet connection for the program to work). I will try and update the first post with new additions.

If I can get enough of the database GPS coord'd up then yes that is one of the options I will look at. (have a preset mode like it is now, or an automatic mode where it picks the nearest ones in the direction you are travelling in)

Yeah, well 10.5 hour shifts at night, watching pr0n, I have plenty of time.

Hmm, now I can check to see if my DatabaseCreator program can handle updates to exist camera codes

I used the method you mentioned above, will do for rest of the coord. Just saw the option in Google Earth. the coord i gave above, can you use those, or do u want me to convert them?

That would be great to be able to use the option to see the closest camera or pick a camera from the list.

I am halfway through converting them, so it's alright.

However in pulling the pic url's I noticed that you have missed a few out. I have added the missing ones to the list but without the co-ords.
