OK - Now thats done this is my thread for my project to create a frount end for this application in a simular vain to Freedrive.
Only problem is I dont know where to start or which of the languages is best how ever I have a pretty good idea of how it should fit together.
So in that vain I will try my best to create some thing to use this app better than it is now & with help from you guys ( hopefully ) with code etc using the SDK at the top I may get some where.
I see this as a bit of a community project and if it gets some where then may be you guys will use it and buy the application ( like you should do any way ).
Any way - thats the start of it - comments please ?
Terran

Could RoadRunner not be modified to act as the front end, like David does with D6, instead of making a new FE for Nav2, and then having to embed that in RR?

fook me its a bit pricey!!!
£170
You can buy a TomTom one for less than that now
And plug it into the PC, and use something like Tomtom home to view and control the TomTom on the screen of your carpc.
Now thats a thought!

It is a bit pricy but the maps and interface looks better too....
Right - been looking at the SDK... looks like C++ is the way to go as its got a truck load of functions.

Its a hell of a lot of money though Terran, especially when there are numerous dedicated GPS boxes out there which cost less and they include hardware.
Realistically, they need to have the price down to below £100 before I could see myself buying it.
They might even sell more copies then, who knows? Economies of scale if you like.

This is a really huge thing I'm looking at here... I'm not sure I can even do it. The C++ language is better supported but every one seems to be in to VB...
Unfortuntly I'm further hampered by only having the one copy locked to my car so I can't play with coding else where.... as a result I may be shot in the foot before I've even started.
