Well... beta 2 will. It looks something like this:

Once im done with the CF skin, ill redo the skin to look good on some other popular frontends as well. It just happens that I use CF so when I want to put effort into the program art, I put all the work into the default CF skin for now.

You really are on top of your game
Yup, I have to agree, this will be a wonderful addition to Centrafuse. However, not to downplay what you've done, but I'm curious to see what David decides to do about his use of Teletype as the "built-in" GPS software for CF. iGuidance is still the reigning champ right now though.. iGmod just makes it that much better

I totally agree w/ the city as a way to look for addresses, it's nearly impossible to find an address through the street option first. The only way to find reliably is through "city" first.
Thanks, Ill give you my input later on, and post again where we can drop some $$ off to help the cause.
P.s.By the way, can you edit post on the first page the latest install??!! It's a pain looking for it!

- RR doesnt work quite right yet, it will by beta 2
- Beta 2 will (does) ask for city first now
- I dont want to put out any more installers until I have a release canidate for beta 2. The problem is every version but the official betas are expected to be quite buggy; they are only for testing purposes.
Glad you like the prog

Dude, I not only like the program, all my friends like it as well. I think this is a major step towards taking charge of sloppy interfaces by narrow minded programmers. Although IG is still by far the best, anyone using it for more than 5 mins can come up w/ a couple of suggestions for it to be better.
Looking' forward to the RR inclusion.

Alright guys, its almost here:
http://igmod.iamjeremy.com/alpha8.rar
This latest version has all of my latest interface changes, including the popout menu, previewing upcomming turns, setting a "home" location, and more. It also has nearly all of the menus behind the scenes navigation code changed; rather then simply pressing keys like "enter down down enter" and crossing its fingers to get somewhere it sends the command to press the actual menu button straight to iguidance's message handler. This means you get a much more reliable program with much less navigation errors.
It flickers the old iguidance menus quickly when its processing commands, this is for stability. When I have the program operating the way it should be ill work on covering up the navigation between iguidance menus.
This is basically what I want the release to be. I would like you guys to test it for bugs I may have not seen, while I spend the next day or 2 making a few more skins (all that is functional right now is the included centrafuse skin) and finally getting RR embedding support working properly.
(I have this weird feeling that even though it works for me it wont work for anyone else, so please prove me wrong )

i haven't been able to road-test it yet, but so far i'm seeing the following bugs:
- speed box isn't magnified
- buttons have black edges where they should be transparent
- menus appear laggy
- when entering test using osk, sometimes the first button press doesn't enter the character, especially if it is the first time you're pressing a button on a "new" menu

- speed box isn't magnified
Ok ill take a look at that
- buttons have black edges where they should be transparent
That should be an easy fix.
- menus appear laggy
Howso? The new beta keeps the menu on the screen with the button down while its doing its behind the scenes stuff, so you have a good indication of when the command you clicked is finished. Does the actual execution feel any slower then it used too?
- when entering test using osk, sometimes the first button press doesn't enter the character, especially if it is the first time you're pressing a button on a "new" menu
Ill take a look at that as well.
-the custom panel speed alert button doesnt work
What its supposed to do is enable or disable auto speed alert. Perhaps ill make it give some sort of indication of what the new state of the speed alert is.
-and the next turn > view objective and cancel buttons work but dont show the Route list at the top
The screenshot showed a turn in progress, not the actuall turn. That would be a nice feature however; to show what turn is being previewed. Not sure how I would set that up though. Im sure I could think of a way.
-can you set up the http://sterlingv.com/users/purdoom/alpha8.rar dl
Done
