I'm curious to see what David decides to do about his use of Teletype as the "built-in" GPS software for CF

David posted yesterday that he will not be using Teletype because the SDK isn't any good.

how do i embed igmod into centrafuse? i would like to replace the "radio" button with a "GPS" button. thanks in advance!!

Edit buttonactions.xml. In there, replace GLOBAL 2's action with APP1.

Edit external.xml. Under <APP1>, change the path to the appropriate path for igmod, set windowname too igm, and displayname to GPS. Also set enableheader to false.

thanks! however, i am having trouble with igmod's window size...is it adjustable? i can't get it to dock in the centrafuse window.

set windowname too igm

In the file external.xml, make sure it says:

New screens of the "compactblack" skin im making.

Im still working on getting RR support working too

Any comments on the direction I should take this skin?

haha, i'm so glad you've done all this....this way people arent all over my *** about figuring out why the hell the memory values jump around so much

Speaking of which, I was wondering if you could edit that DLL a little bit so I could use it. What I would like it to do is a. retrieve bytes from memory (I can pass whatever handle information you need for the app to it) and b. search a block of memory for a string. This way, I could make it find the $GPGGA keyword and retrieve the GPS string in memory. Then its a hop skip and a jump to adding a button that says "View this location on google sat maps".

Whenever you have time. If it took a month or 3, thats fine.

is it possible to get current data from IGmod (or straight from iguidance) for development purposes? I'm really just looking for the current/destination city or zipcode

igmod doesn't know that.

Your on an old thread, were up to igmod beta 2 release and nearly approaching beta 3 reloaded.
