Cannot get this to work. When I start I do not get the main menu, it goes right to the map. The buttons are still small, as are the zoom controls, but I do get the watch icon on the left. If I try it on my laptop seems to open up fine, just does not work on my Xenarc which is set at 800x600.

Also is there a way to remember window sizes upon exit? Igmod has to be stretched to fit different front ends every time it is started. And an easier way to minimize and/or exit would be nice.

Program looks great otherwise when it works!

Did you change the DPI at all for windows? Sometimes that makes things mess up. Keep your eye out for iGmod beta 2 too see if that fixes your problems.

And I guess it would be trivial to save window sizes. I sort of intended the program to always be embedded in something but I guess some people run the program standalone too.

It Works! Mostly. The last update finally works on my Carpc as well as the desktop. There are a couple of minor issues left:

1. I still see the original zoom, mute, and menu buttons behind the igmod buttons. Shouldn't they be gone?

2. When clicking on the compass, and the buttons after it, the screen changes are preceeded by a short period where my RR skin disappears and I see the computer desktop in the background.

3. Some of the menus don't work consistantly. For example, Destinations | Poi | Business | Restaurant takes me back to the Poi screen, but if I cancel that, I see the OSK displayed that was brought up by the Restaurant button. I'll have to play with this for a while to get the exact pattern down. Unfortunately, I'm going on vacation for a week or two and won't be much help. Hopefully, this will all be ironed out by the time I get back. Great work!!!

Good to hear. I am aware of the zoom not working, and nearly have it fixed.

1. Run the patchIG script included in the zip file. That will kill off the menu and mute icons; ill have it killing the white menu text and the old zumm buttons by beta 2.

2. What RR skin do you use? I would like to try this out.

3. Im in the process of redesigning how iGmod navigates the real iguidance menus, so that should fix that all up soon.

Yes my dpi is set to 120%, at 800x600 it is a necessity. Hmm, will try and run it at regular DPS.

I'm using my own skin that is "in progress". Only a few screens have been done but HERE it is if you want to check it out.

PS: Add #4: When entering an address destination, it takes me to the street name first then number and I never get to see the city screen (no option to enter city first?).

wysocki, I'm experiencing the same... can't find city option. I was traveling in Cali this weekend and couldn't find that option anywhere, instead I had to load up original iG, enter it in, then close it, reopen igmod version, then go to recent to pull it up. I still need to update to latest igmod though, this program still getting better!

City, eh? I intentionally just left that out actually on my initial design. I suppost I could make a "city" button in the upper left of the "enter street name" osk.

I understand simpler is better, but without entering the city, the damn program couldn't find the street I was looking for as it was set in San Diego and I assume the street in Aneheim didn't exist there. Sucks. The address input method of iG is one of the things I hate about it, just let me type in an address! (2nd would be the way POI works - I just want to search POI names - ie: where is the closest Chopstix to my current location, instead I gotta do a search by restaurant, japanese food, alphabetical). IMO, if you know where you want to go, you should be able to just enter it in...don't make the user dig through menus. Ok, I'm just rambling now, your work, PURDooM is making iG much more better to work with at least hehe.

Lol, i know what you mean. I just want nearest taco bell or nearest mcdonalds.

Well, ive been doing alot of school work but still take a break and code igmod from time to time. I "think" i have everything stable and more speedy (except for the smart navigation code so it can recover from going to the wrong menu) so when I have a chance im going to test it on my car computer for a bit and release it as Beta 2.

Actually I felt like getting 3 more features in first. The first one I have finished; that is redesigning the way the program notifies you of its turns. Rather than the cool but mostly useless image overlay (which you can still enable), we now have this:

I also wish to add a popout menu to the upper left corner where upon pressing it gives you a menu with some customizable options, which by default will be:

Go home
View next turn
Go to nearest gas station
Mute
Toggle Speed Alert
?? Something else
.

And I also need to make it so you can preview a location when you searched for something like a POI or an address.
