also i noticed a hollow red circle that appears in the vicinity of where iGuidance says I am.. looks like it might displaying the location where the GPS is really tracking..
Me three.
I'm experiencing two other issues. When in CF, IGMod often loads itself twice even though I only hit the GPS button once. I must then close CF, which leaves an IGMod window on my desktop, which I must then close. I am not able to close the extra IGMod window from within CF. Attached is a picture. This seems to happen when I already have a couple of programs embedded in CF. If I embed IGMOd first, it seems to work fine.
Secondly, the program often hangs when I'm looking for POIs. Typically, it occurs when I'm using the "Alphabetical" entry. The screen hangs at the "Loading Results" window (see attached). PURDooM, try the following and see if it happens to you:
POI/Restuarants/All/Alphabetical/Applebees
As a general observation, IGuidance's POI database really sucks, doesn't it?
Thanks for all the work, PURDooM. There's another Paypal payment coming from me when it's ready for prime time.

Yea, I hate the IG poi database. The whole igmod poi thing is a poor way to automate the POI windows so I don't need to put effort into it. I plan on replacing it soon with my own iGphonebook program.
Ill work on it some more of course untill the built in POI works right anyway
Next issue: Ill make IGmod make sure its the only igmod in memory before it loads itself, and it will double check that every 10 seconds or so.
The circle thing: read http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/gps/62064-iguidance-options-registry-value.html . Then note that that is configurable/disablable by editing/removing the igoptions line in runner.ini. I like it though.

Er, I just realized removing that line in the ini (concerning altering the registry) only works in my development code (and the build I gave justintime).
You can get the latest exe at: http:/igmod.iamjeremy.com/iGmod.exe
Also: to disable that "you sure you want to quit" thing and all the embedding errors dealing with that, go get that exe listed above and in your ini add:
NoStandAlone TRUE
That will kill off the gray border too.

Great. The little red thing is actually kind of neat. I also like that the indicator now alternates between speed, miles and ETA. I think I'll keep things just the way they are.
Regarding the POI database, I was mostly commenting on the shortage of data. For fun yesterday, I entered "Walmart" and IG missed the one that is five miles away and tried to route me to one 25 miles away. The closer store has been there for at least five years. Same thing with Don Pablos restaurant. Now that I've got Internet in the car, I can at least go to the relevant website to get the address of the closest location and then input the address into IG.

Iguidance version 2.0NA
Igmod preview3
The speed box zooms when NOT navigating to an address but when navigating to an address the box shrinks down to normal size. The turn indicator is also normal size. This just a bug of the preview?
Also, i noticed goin from 2.1d to preview3 i lost the ability to use keyboard inputs. PLEASE tell me that'll come back! If not then all of us using zots ig skin or similar skins that use keypresses are kinda outta luck. Personally i'd like the igmod screen skinless (no buttons showing, as if reshacked) but still have the menus and zoomed points of the igmod version. I assume this is possible?

I thought I had it accepting keyboard inputs but must have screwed something up with something stealing the focus. Ill take a look at that.
The not zooming distance/speed is not normal, but ill worry about that later.

iGuidance's POI database is downright pathetic. While competitors like S&T and Street Atlas are boasting millions of POIs, iGuidance proudly proclaimed they added 21,000 freaking POIs in their latest version. That's really sad.

oh wow... I didn't know that...
S&T has an amazing database... if only there was a way to port it to iGuidance... They need to set standards for this kinda stuff so we can mix and match GPS software

Yeah man. There's about 20K cities in the US alone. So they've managed to add ONE FREAKING POI per city since last time. Whoop-pee-dooo.

mmm the new exe is nice.... but I"m having one issue -
in my car, when I load up IG in CF (P3, 600) no dialog box that has to list addresses works *at all* it just comes up with a screen shot of whatever is behind the box. I can't get recent, can't get favorites, can't get anything. I dunno why.
if, however, I load it up in RR, it works perfectly.
