The only useful thing I can think of right now, is to have it bring iGmod to the front. So if I am listening to music, and I am in the CF Music screen, would be great to have it autoswitch to iGmod/iGuidance when entering guidance mode.

Is that what you're able to detect now? Guidance mode? Or what exactly?!

Yea, I can tell if its in guidance mode or not. I was thinking of putting my cool zoomed next turn indicator at the top when this happens.

I mean, one of the main reasons I'm looking into integrating IG into RR is so that you don't have problems like app being in front / behind etc.

What i suggested before is the ability to send this info to our front ends the way that freedrive and mapmonkey do. Imagine being able to see a turn indicator from the main menu Something like this:

but obviously not so elaborate. Basically what i'm suggesting would allow iG to be fully embedded into the front end. Another idea would be have a turn "pop-up" skin similar to phoco's pop up that would alert us about turning while outside of the gps skin

Alright, im not sure how to pull what kind of turn is happening, but I can do this:

I can take peices of that bar and put them anywhere on the screen and at any size as defined by a user customizable file. Any particular feature requests for how to handle that image?

PuRDOOM. That is HOT. Not sure how you did it, I am surprised you were able to overlay the image on top of CentraFuse! (rather than just being limited to the igMOD embed area... strange!)

Not suire how to handle the image. Seems like you really can't modify the looks/shape of the image, so best alternative I can think of is just pop it in the very middle of the screen. This way, it doesn't seem like one is trying to make it look seamless.... it's just like a dialog warning popping up in the middle of the screen. That's how I would set it up anyway...

thats exactly what i'm goin for! man this is going to end up a sweet program! I was hoping that maybe that image thats showing would be customizable but if it were just that that came up a pop up box would be perfect.

looks great!

if you wanted to keep it in the "header" area, perhaps you could create a mask to cover the header area under the turn notification (between the home button and the cime display/disconnect button) for a cleaner look.

Location and size seem to be all you'd need, glad to hear they'll be user definable. Only other thing would be color, if that's possible.

On another note, I still have problems with selecting a poi. I get the "database loading" screen but then it just goes back to the map. Once this poi issue is fixed and I can skin it to match my RR skins, I'll be in iHeaven.

I think a brief pop up on the screen, over the front end, is ideal. Let it disappear after 3 or 4 seconds, and that is it. Of course, a Ding/Noise is needed also, but that should be enough.

Ive been thinking this is the options you will have:

1 - No out of program notification
2 - Center screen, only in guidance mode
3 - Turn icon and distance fixed in upper right or upper left of screen, the icons turn into a full bar when guidance mode is invoked

For all the options igmod is getting, im going to have to make a gui for the configuration

Those options sounds really good.

No need for a Settings GUI. Just an extensive list of options for the INF file would be fine.
