Nah, that version is weak compared to what I have been working on.

Following RPM_V4's example... I present iGmod Reloaded preview! This is so those who sent me donations can see what their donations have been working for.

http://sterlingv.com/users/purdoom/i...dedpreview.rar

Working:
Entering an address
Embedding (set window search string to _iGmod_ in your front end)
Zoomed speed (not distance yet)
New skin style
Custom buttons (excluding next turn button)
New CF nag screen (which you can of course disable by setting the value in runner.ini for the nag screen to false)

Major features you would expect but arent in the preview:
Practical use in stand alone mode (it doesnt show up in the taskbar yet)
Zoomed up skinned window for the search results/favorites/recent boxes
DONT press the options button, you end up with a menu you cant close on the screen. Forgot to rip that out of the skin in the preview.

Things that just plain arent in there yet
GPS info embedding
Next turn guidance display like igmod 1 had
Preview next turn
POI support
Options menu

Improvements to the exsisting features expected:
Customizable loading screen
Better directory/file layout of release
Faster load times (It takes about a minute and a half to load on a painfully slow 350mhz computer while the computer is decoding mp3s)
European support (I have iguidance europe here, I just havent programmed the skin to use it yet)

At this rate... ill have everything well done in a week or 2 perhaps? Patience and attention to detail will make a better product.

Thanks for sharing.

Few suggestions based on what I see:

1) When entering Guidance mode, can you temporarily remove the Zoombox, Zoom plus, ZOom minux, and 3d buttons? Basically, can you remove everything on the lower right corner so it does not get on the way? You really can't performa any of these actions when in guidance mode anyways (I think...!)
2) When moving the map around, the 'Red X' close button appears on the lower right. Where you intending on puttin a bigger version of the red button? Something weird happens in that area after dragging the map around...
3)Seems like there is a lag (1/2 second) between the time I click a button, and the time I hear a 'click' and it takes effect. It does get on your nerves a little. Any hope for more snappiness?

Overall, this is looking like a miracle app! Great job man!

1. Yea, I had something similar going on in beta 2. It will be there.
2. Same feature will make that happen.
3. Actucally I introduced a delay of about half a second because immediate clicks made it so you couldn't see if the down image was ever displaying (debugging). Ill rip that out and update that link for ya.

Edit: Updated.

When entering an address it takes an awfully long time to respond! It take way to long to load the data base. I think you should put that last screen you have at the end where it says " Enter City" / Enter State" / // put that at the beginning so maybe it will speed things up!

I noticed that when I ran it in my car a few hours ago. Whats happening is it is pressing menu->destination->address->by street then waiting for the street list to come up before it tries processing any more events. Ill try to make a workaround that allows you to enter text before the behind the scenes stuff is done.

is it any way possible to make it user configurable to choose what you want the address to ask first?

personally I would like to Be able to Choose STATE ---> Town(CITY) ---> Street ---> House Number

Right now its somewhat difficult (there is some crazy logic going on in the skin file to acomplish the input the way it is) but I plan on releasing a skin configuration tool somewhat soon to automate that for you.

However until I make that release, if you head into the skin file and look for the block of text like this:
Code:
ACTION SHOW_MENU "SetDestination2" HIDE_MENU "Main Menu V2" END_BUTTON

And change "SetDestination2" to "SetDestination2State" then the first menu that will be pulled up when you press address is the OSK for state. OR... "SetDestinationConferm" will give you the master screen with all 4 entries.

Also cheekz... I will have the program onload events working soon so you can set your GPS to com 10 or whatever it was like you could before.

Hey DooM, looks good m8! keep up the nice work. Although it did take about 30sec to load on a 3.4 P4 (doesn't really matter to me). This is the best thing i've seen for iG yet!! donation on the way soon

nice, I'm glad to see the improvments, I haven't yet tested them because my carcomputer system is going thru a major overhaul but it should be up and running again properly by next week. I actually am running a PIII 600 w/ 384 Ram w/ road runner and igmod 2 currently, and its pretty good. I originally ran win2k pro sp4 on it and the gfx in iguidance/igmod were choppy as hell, but after upgrading it to XP pro it works awesome. I guess this info is irrelevant so I'll just shut up until I either try to preview or the release (depending on when I have the ability to update the software on my carputer again)

Oh, wow. So much better Phew!
Yeah, you never get to see the down button, but snapiness is critical here.

Maybe you can find a way to halt everything upon button press (so the image updates), and only actually execute the button press UPON RELEASE.

I changed in the skin file to "SetDestinationConferm". It goes to that screen with all r entries great, but When i go to type a city in first, there are 2 minor problems:
1. When i start putting in a city and it shows up on the Top in the white box and there are like other cities/town in the box, If i try to click on the city it wont let me, it automatically reverts to the very top city in that box.
2. There is no Next key or Enter to go o nto the next screen or even get out of it.

#1 Is because I have no way of pulling what is in the city listbox yet, all the program is aware of is what you typed in and not what you selected in that box. If I can find a solution to that problem then I will get the city list to scroll again.
#2 Hmm... looks like your right fixing...
