Hey PurDoom how is reloaded coming, have you fixed any of the bugs? For some reason today the "loading database" went really quick for some reason. Before it used to take for ever....

Work/school all day today, no progress. Spent the evening messing with speech recognition (I like the idea of navivoice, I think I will make sure that works with igmod.)
Imagine being able to ask questions like Where am I? and How far is it? or What direction am I facing? It sounds like fun stuff.
Anyway ill have more igmod stuff done soon. I really want to try to get it to load faster right now.

i know you are basing IGMod solely on touch screen input and said evenually you will add keyboard inputs that corrospond.
i for one have a minikey (playstation 2) and a shuttle xpress (5 buttons and 2 dials basically) and would love to have keys to send to iGmod like left and right /up down arrows to navigate the menu structure and input data. once the bugs are worked would if be hard to include that as well?
Thanks and reloaded is coming along nicely.

Work/school all day today, no progress.
Me thinks you are having trouble prioritizing. Remember what Bill Gates did when he was developing DOS? Hmmm? He dropped out of school, damnit!
Seriously, glad to hear things are coming along.

Shouldn't be very hard. I would do it today but I might change my mind on how I want keyboard input to behave part way through implementation, so I think I need a day or 2 to get all my thoughts straight on the design of that.

Progress update:
http://sterlingv.com/users/purdoom/ReloadedPreview2.rar
The included patcher will upgrade ig 2.1, 2.1.1, and 2.1.2 NA (not 2.0 or 2.1.2 EU yet) to include Marvin Hlavac's car icons and JustInTime's larger turn icons.
Some major features implemented from last version of igmod preview:
-Much faster load time
-Large next turn view when in guidance mode (edit: Still buggy apparently)
-Program interface changes for guidance mode and panning map
-More (artistically unfinished) buttons for menus, including all the options menu stuff, play recording, save recording, ect
-Command to hide interface on main screen (to have more area to show map on)
-Misc changes here and there

is there any way to make the next street text at the top, like where it says 42nd ave on your screen shot bigger? Sometimes while I'm driving I wanna see that and its too small.

Been working on some stuff involving fast resizing of images and automated resizing of any skin to any resolution (because it has been brought to my attention most people dont run at 800x600 like I do right now)
Does your carputer have processor cycles that just need to be wasted? Then heck now it can waste it on anti aliased zooming of speed/ect instead of pixelated zooming like you saw before.
I think this zooming would work well on any computer 900mhz or faster. Which excludes my carputer but hey, all your donations are going twoards making my carputer suck less.
And I know the screenshot doesnt really demonstrate it (lots of skin buttons/menus not shown), but everything looks almost perfect running at 800x480 now. Theres just some issues around the zoomed speed box that I need to clean up.

Hey Purdoom,
I downloaded you preview 2 with the directional and turning icons. I installed the patch that came with the preview but the icons do now seem to work for me? Do i need to resource hack it myself?

If your iguidance is installed in the default spot (c:\program files\iguidance.exe) and you are using either 2.1 (one of the varietys of exes that people have gave me), 2.1.1, or 2.1.2 unmodified as your iguidance.exe then it will make iguidancemod.exe in the iguidance folder and say patching complete. If this didn't happen for you you can:
1. Check location.ini and make sure it is referencing the correct location
2. Manually patch it with reshacker (takes about 10 minutes)
3. Message me and ill add whatever iguidance.exe you have to the patch generator.
DaPCWiz: Yea, it will be an option in runner.ini. I know my 350 mhz computer couldn't do it (it can barley render gps maps and play music at the same time) so I won't force it on anyone else.

Hey PURDoom: Keep up the good work. ONe constructive critasism is that we seem to be loosing a lot fo the map view. I would like if possible to have a whole screen map view with maybe an info pane at the top. If we select the info pane then a menu could appear taking up half of the screen, similar to RoadRunner's support of MapPoint. After a configured period of time the memnu then dissapears.
Thanks
Andrew
