yeah, i cared for that 0,0 pixel. i attach 2 sets of bmp files. the 7,8,9 are bigger in order to cover the rectangle, but it still shows. the rectangle centers in the vertical but anchors horizontally to the left. the pixel height is about 20 to 25. i tried to make a screenshot but it doesn't shoot it, only the background.
the bitmaps are kindo ugly, but just a first try, don't mind them.
thanx for your kind help.

The settings show the receiver strings it is spitting out.
What kind of GPS receiver do you have? Have you tried using xPort3 along with it? And do other GPS programs work fine?
I tried testing you bmp's too and they seemed to work, but I have no GPS Rx at home anymore to test the text over it. I will be getting one soon, so I will see what grey box you were talking about when I get it.

i also handled the bitmaps on my home pc without gps. the grey rectangles contain the white lines for the data, too, like your default gauges.
i could live without bitmaps, but what can i do to translate the raw data ? i tried it directly without xport. my mouse is a cheap navilock nmea thing they sell cheap at ebay. works fine with freedrive, mapmonkey, destinator, rr, showgps and all the things. nothing unusual so far.

Holy Poopoo, that looks awesome, i've been looking for something like this for ages, (i fried my speedo ages ago). BTW, you're an Islander, can i ask what town? Not specific address but just curious what town/county you're in. I'm and ex-Islander.

If you were ina plane, maybe but then again, GPS isn't supposed to be able to tack that fast, well, at least not civilian GPS.

friedrice, i definitely do know that. all i say is that the program doesn't work for me showing me nonsense and i'd like to know why. i am not the only one with these problems but there's no support unfortunately. mph doesn't work either, i tried it.

Yea, I dono, I'll have to test it out when I get a rx.
Probbaly just parsing the line wrong, maybe it only works with some GPS RX's? I'll have to find out when I get the time.

i wish you could make it work. there is no such stuff in the net. i came across showgps, very nice, but unfortunately not transparent for use within a navi.
good luck

maybe we have different signals or different devices here in europe with different output ? but i don't think so.......does anyone know ?
you're using desti pn with the 2006 maps i suppose ?
so you also need extra speedo because there's no way to use the desti data ?
same problems all over the world...
