you are asking the owner and creator of a program that was once free but was then made for sale because exploits of torrents if you can download the program for free ... on torrents. There are no "working copies" available.

That sentence makes no sence what so ever.
You seem to think I am trying to get something for nothing. (as if every app/prog/song/etc on your comp was 100% legit, but we don't need to go there).
my point is, this program is still in pretty hi demand ( I all ready have it btw )
Normally when programs are no longer for "Sale" they end up free but unsupported ( iCE for example ) But it would appear this is not the case here. So then the ONLY other way to get this program would be a Torrent.

Licensed users can get the last version here.
I'd highly recommend to download it and keep a backup of it somewhere since I can't guarantee it'll be there forever.
This is the same version as usual, means, it will run as Trial. However, after the 30 day trial period there will be no option to get a license for it. It is meant to be a backup for licensed users only.
Also, take care of your license key. If you loose it, you won't get another.

Just wondering faith of the phoco forums? they seem to be gone now... ive written a phoco plugin for xlobby and i was hoping still to improve it in future, but in order to do that i would really benefit from access to all that information, since im still rather newb on all phoco stuff and included manuals only get u so far... if official forums are now really gone, thats really big loss of resource for both regular users and plugin devs. So im just hoping if there is any possibility to preserve forums if only as read-only-source that would be highly aprociated... Zorro? anybody?

I found Zorro's answer in another forum, he said:
' I've ended supporting PhoCo, so this will be the very last answer on this topic:
The source of the problem is your install, not PhoCo. You (means some installation, tweak, optimization, whatever) must have messed up something in the Windows system.
Why?
.NET runs managed code only. There's no way for a managed application to cause Kernel errors. Only a couple of unmanaged apps (auch as drivers) can do this. There are no unmanaged components in PhoCo.
The most common reasons for this in the past were a bad installed Bluetooth driver, the incompatibillity of your dongle or some crippled OS.
I bet, if you run it on a clean system (in terms of a fresh installed full XP, latest updates and SPs) it'll run right away. "
My problem is that i only installed the oatest version over my old one. So above is not reaaly reflecting my install

Same error happened to me Ray, if you are up for it, do a fresh install of Windows. Worked fine after that, there was no other way I could find to fix it. Unistalled all the .net runtimes, uninstalled phoco, reinstalled .net and phoco, did not work. In the end somehow .net or some windows driver screws up as you notice the error message comes up even before phoco loads.
Gotta love Microsoft.

Have I just missed the train????!!!!
I have/had a licens but I have not used it for some time because I've set up a new PC and I've even bought a k800i that I checked from the compatibility list would give me keyboard functionality!
Tried to download a few hours ago and am still chocked at discovering that I cannot get a new licens for my upgraded machine!
I've just downloaded the LAST version. (Unfortunately I have lost my original license email)
What are my options? Is phoco included (and supported) by any commercial front-end?
Help _please_

Phoco dead
I can't say that I enjoyed this experience much. In parity with comhem removing my URL web.comhem.se/bengt-olof.swing for unknown reason at about the same time I realized phoco was dead.
I have to think what other sw I'm using that is not open source. (apart from winxp :-))
- Goops for one
- HQCT
- about to choose OBDII dashcommand, has to make sure this is not the case with them.
Navivoice is the brilliant exception.

Right on. An application that works and has continued support.
