thanks for the info I will soon be a PhoneControl.NEt user and I can't wait..

the software that comes with the Dlink is based on an older build of the Widcomm software.

You are not the only one with this problem vicky, I tried every variation possible of the name before to no avail. Eventually I sorta gave up, if an incoming caller brings PhoneControl to the front now, the only way to get back to MediaEngine is to log off winxp and log back in (hence re-launching mediaengine and phonecontrol).

Maybe we're missing some .NET sdk or something zorro?

Cheers,
SJC

If you use the settings described above, it's supposed to be working under XP (I've tested it )
The only thing you have to care for is the "Always on top" mode that ME has set as default. You better disable that.

There is another way you can hide PhoCo after a incoming call: Set <AutoHideTimeout> to any value above 0. After this time PhoCo hides automatically, if you don't use it (Idle mode).

BTW: Check your PhoCo logfile... if you see "SwitchToApp not running. Closing." your setting under <WindowToSwitchTo> is maybe mistyped (take care for upper/lower case).

What brand/model is it?

If you have a Virtual COM driver installed for your phone, it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Actually you're right, I shouldn't. But it looks so damn sweet! How can you resist something like that!

Great work Zorro, on programming as well as follow up!

Well, don't

The easiest way would be, if you know someone with a IrDA adapter. If it's working with IR, I guess it'll work with a cable too.

Thanks
