Tpms
Hi,
I have been reading with intrest the debate about the buying of the units.
I am not trying to offend anyone here and i apoligise in advance if i do so.
I can see the point of the rules of the forums totally but at the same time also the need to source these units at a sensible price. (People are charging upto 400 euros for these things)
I source alot of equipment for industrial control from china for work so i enquired about this unit bulk cost.
and even adding all costs etc etc etc these units come to approx (£125 this is over 100 pounds cheaper)
Is there some way we can address this problem to
A Not break the forum rules
B get the team a good deal
C And most importantly protect peoples money.
I do have a few ideas how to solve all 3 of these problems and would be glad to speak more about this if need be with the Admin people.
Once again i have not attempted to break the rules but hopefully find a solution
Thanks
Terry
PS Good work so far on this whole project

I know that the sensors that mount entirely inside the wheel read absolute pressure, but I thought that most TPMS sensors with the valve stem read a differential pressure, not absolute. i.e. they won't work if entirely immersed in a pressure vessel because there is no difference in pressure. Perhaps this is why you aren't getting valid data.

He needs to drop the price a bit as well, seeing as there is a possibility of getting them direct for half the price. (It's a levering tool to be used)

I am new to this and has jumped on Brandons offer to put together a kit.
I understand that it is you, Robby, that has done most of the reverse enginering and is also the one that has made the pic code. (Excuse me for not reading all the posts. If I am wrong my intension is not to offend anyone)
However:
I've just been hit bad by PhoCo going into the grave, so I am a bit cousios. Will you make the code available, Robby? What I want is the possibility to make changes in case you do not support it anymore, and also to be able to upgrade if needed.
If you plan to go commercial I think that making code available will make product stronger. Not copied. :-)
Or is the code so simple that code is superstable?
(great work btw)

As far as I know Robby has reserved the rights to produce the PICs with its code inside. He'll sell them for a symbolic price (about 30 euros). Look at the second page of this thread for more details.
