I was waiting for the beta test forum, but I guess this will have to do. I am now the proud user of two TPMS systems - thanks LOK for your outstanding customer service (let's hope my experience was unique). So far no leaks, no breaks, no problems. System 1 was a Third Eye with Robbys mod from LYHTSPD; the second was a complete system from LOK via the initial waiting list.

What makes this unique is both are permanently installed in two different vehicles, but only one PC. I have docking stations in each car and was initially concerned that the learning process on the second would erase the saved sensors from the first - but it didn't! My tablet already has a script run on startup that identifies which car its in and sets some parameters, so now I need to add the rrtms.ini cause the pressures and alerts are different for each car.

But the systems are working flawlessly: my temps are all within 4 degrees; pressure is dead on; alerts fire as programmed and reset immediately; learning was smooth and error free; and the antennas are just right for my cars.

One technique I would like to pass on to the group - If you can, work it out with the tire shop to let you learn the sensors as they are being installed. My first set I tried to do the learn process after they were installed - I rushed it and had problems. On the last set, I hit the learn button as soon as the tire was popped back on. The mechanic aired it up and as it lost pressure while he inserted the valve the learning process completed. The interval between tires is just right so the process has the necessary time to normalize the previous sensor and the distance between the car on the lift and the tire is short and unobstructed. So when the mechanic finished the last tire, I was ready to assist him in setting the exact tire pressures I wanted. (My guy laughed when I told him I wanted all four tires within 1/2 pound, but he did better - they're within .2lbs.) By the time I paid and got my keys, even the temps were within 4 degrees and I was all set.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I have a extra board and pic chip laying around. My dog smashed it and I was never able to get it to work again. I went ahead and bought one of LOK's kits, which are very well built by the way. Who ever wants to try to save my old one can have it, just pay for shipping.

I have a question here. Is there any STAND ALONE software for TPMS available ? I know there is plugin for RR and for Centrafuse and both are great ones, however they may work only with in the frontend software.

For example TPMS Doctor is good as a stand alone application but it can not give a sound warnings while pressure or temp is out of the range. The reason why I am looking for it is simple: I am under SD2 and there is no TPMS plugin available for it at the moment. I do not have enoufgh skills to write one so I want to run some TPMS standalone application on background and have warnings comming on if something goes wrong.

Please help with the suggestion on this. Thank you

Well the original source is available so converting it to a standalone app wouldn't be difficult, however if you are using SD I would recommend putting a request in that forum for someone to do a digi mod for it.

I did a request long time ago but so far no one was interested to do it for SD

Also my skills does not allow me at this point to convert existed RR source code to .exe application. Maybe someone may help me please with that ? Just instead of .dll which is a plugin for RR I would like to have .exe file to start TPMS. Does not matter which skin will be in used.

Thank you.

GizmoQ did you have any luck with the new valve stems that I sent you? I am assuming you did because your last post states that everything is working fine. Please let me know because I have a couple other users who have reported the same issue and I want to make sure it is due to the old style valve stems.

I must say I'm surprised no one is interested, especially as most of the hard work is already done and available.

I would do the exe if I had any spare time, but I have too many plugins going on at the moment to do it.

There is one user at the streetdeck.com forums who is planing to work on this plugin in the future. But when this future come ?

Enforcer I would apreciate if you may find some time and just compile .exe version of the RR TPMS using existed default RR Skin. I can do it my self but first I need to read book on C# and VB in order to uderstand how does it work. My knoweleges in coding are limited

I wish I can code the plugins - I would do it non stop for SD and RR since I am using both of these front ends

Thank you in advance !
