That worked...thanks!
HOWEVER, now it's hit'n'miss when resuming/starting whether the device is recognized or not!!! I thought I'd be PAST this issue with the new hardware!? It's part of the reason I spent the $$ to upgrade it from my V1 hardware...
Tired all my onboard USB ports...tried my add-on ports...tired my hub...
It was working for a few restarts, which got my hopes up...but then stopped again.
It looked like once I got the GPS mouse installed, is when it stopped working properly. Could be coincidence though...

Maybe Xport will work? it has the ability to restart devices on startup and wake up

I have the same issue with the PDC and I assume the TPMS will be the same.
The problem only seems to be in the car, not the laptop, not the desktop PC and not the old carPC which was a standard PC running off an inverter.
I suspect it is something to do with the way the DC-DC supply shuts off/on the 5v .

I emailed Alok...he told me to talk to YOU, as you seem to of found a solution...
X-Port can restart devices?? I didn't know this...
Do I just put a checkmark in the box for the device I want restarted? Didn't see anything related to this in the instructions...
Thanks

I didn't either. I know DEVCON can, but I am not sure about Xport.

Is this what you use, and it works?
I tried the checkbox option, and it didn't work...maybe that's for logging?

Ooops...I passed over this...
...The device list at the bottom works much like DevCon, and is for devices that have trouble with hibernation. Check only the devices you have trouble with. XPort will stop the driver before hibernation, then start after resume, then retry any driver that fails to start a few seconds later. Use with caution. Some devices may freeze XPort or fail to disable or enable. Each device may add several seconds delay, so it may not be a good option to use. You can test each device by disabling/enabling in Device Manager.
"
However, I don't think it worked...
It mentions giving X-Port admin rights if under Vista (and I assume W7), so maybe this is why it didn't work...
I'll try this tomorrow.

Devcon didn't work for me, so I doubt xPort will.

YES, Xport has a check box area at the bottom. You choose the USB device in the list and from now on it will restart that device when coming out of hibernation. I use it with my GPS and I use it to reset my aircard.

So then how did you get your TPMS device to ALWAYS be recognized when booting/resuming, if not X-Port?

I hate to say this, but its a system issue. Lok and me brought this up several times. My TPMS will not work on a USB hub, I will get USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED. I had to use one of my onboard ports inorder for it to work. Now sometimes when I come out of hibernation, I will get the verbal warning from CF that the device is not connected, but half way through it saying it she will just stop because suddenly the device is reactivated. Thats my setup though for have over 20+ USB devices.

Good to know. Thanks! Maybe I can get rid of DEVCON then and just use the Xport software. All I need is one more thing running in the background.

Well, I got it to recognize each time it boots...I need to test whether it's working from resume now.
I also went out and learned my sensors...sorta.
I got 3 outta 4 working, and detected right away. The 4th sensor is not working. I tried different ranges, I tried resetting (unplugging) the device, rebooting, completely flattening the tire, etc...nadda!!
And I think I know why!!
When I originally bought my 3rdEye kit from Viva Performance, it was delivered with A COMPLETELY MISSING SENSOR AND STEM!!! Totally ripped from the box...was not open at customs however.
So he FINALLY shipped me a replacement, at my cost, to use...
And I can bet you a million dollars which sensor it is!!!!
The guy is a ******* crook...no two ways about it!
I knew this the very first time there was some niggling issues with the purchase...and since he was paid with a money order, and not a credit card, I had no recourse but to kindly deal with this prick...
He probably pulled the battery from it or something, just to be a wise guy...
ANYWAYS, I need to get an extra sensor

Thank god LYHTSPD got me my kit direct from the manufatuer. It was cheaper then what VIVA was selling theirs for and the price included shipping and 5 sensors for my spare. I forgot that you were the one that had that issue. That really sucks. Maybe LOK can sell you one sensor?
