Still having problems picking up the rear left sensor most times...
Would extending the antenna help, or is it s'pose to be a fix length?

i still have occasional problems with my rear left (sensor 4) updating as well. i'm wondering if it's not just an issue with the antenna reception since my rear right never has a problem and they are equidistant. maybe the way the software/hardware cycles or something?

Have you tried re-learning the sensor? You don't have relearn all of them just the one you are having issues with, this usually takes care of refresh issues. Also distance isn't everything, there are a number of causes of interference in a car so there might be something on your rear left that is causing intereference. The other option you have is to boost the antenna reception by using a more robust antenna such as one from antennafactor.com. I have a prototype here in which I was able to extend the range to almost 15m using an upgraded antenna. Hijack also has one of these prototypes and I believe MrBean also did a little upgrade himself so you may want to talk to one of them and see what they think as well.

I would not mess with the antenna length as it affects reception. 433 Mhz Antennas have to be approx 6.5 inches. If you search this thread Robby has posted the exact length in one of his posts.

Then perhaps a straight, hard-wire antenna would be better for reception? Or trying to get the wire antenna as straight as possible?

i just asked the dude at 3rd eye if it was possible in the way as i asked him

on another thread i read the reason why they ban group buys was that one has to collect the money and at that time ripped several others for money

in the way i lined out each individual sends money to 3rd eye and they also ship to each individual

only stuff back is for some to organize a list of peoples names and adresses and send that to 3rd eye, i then guess they give us some kind of order id that each individual will use as reference when sending money to 3rd eye and when they have the total amount they will ship out

it was just an idea i got very late comeing home from a 12 hour shift, but at least there is no risk of being ripped byt some other forum member

anyway i'm going to order a kit or 2 soon directly from them

Hey guys,

I just wanted to let you know that I regularly receive packages from 3rd eye as I have to purchase sensors from them for my kits. I can also source the 3rd eye brand TPMS standalone kit if you require ($230 + Shipping).

Also boelle, I hope you are not trying to make your own TPMS board as that kit that you have found on the Mp3car store is exactly what you are trying to build. Also if you need spare sensors those can be purchased as well.

no i'm just trying to figure out the cheapest way to get the kit... but since no one inside the EU provides the kit i could as well go for the one from the mp3car store

if they also had the park distance kit i would for sure get it there
