damn, sorry to hear that BND. My car was parked right next to yours too. I think I'll have to examine my car later to see if anything was missing.
I think I'll take my keys out of the ignition now after hearing that. I left the keys in there the whole day too. And even left my phone on the dash unattended. I would have gone POed if someone took my phone.
Have you tried searching your car, maybe it's underneath the seats for some reason.

I decided to just edit out all of my posts about the headset... then I realized that half this thread is references to that.... feel free to edit out whatever you feel doesn't need to be said....

Since the BT headset story is now vapor. I think you should pretty much just delete all the posts about the headset and take the gloom off this meet thread, and lets just come back to talk about the joyous meet.

I really am considering trying to set up a pda as a master control for my system.... but don't know what to use,not so much the vehicle control though, because of the distance limitations, but pc control would be sweet.

Glad to see you found it. I felt kinda odd leaving my car open during the meet that I made it too (made sure I had my wallet with me though...). Seeing those pictures made me wish I could've made it. I think for the next meet we should have a tour of each person's car. Start of with each person's car, then move to the next. That way I don't dell wierd about leavin' my car open.

I wish Verizon had a PDA phone that allowed b.luetooth... And I second that. PDA as a remote to the PC, Touchscreen as the main control. That way I could control it when standing next to the car.

I'm more looking for something that I can embed in the car.... don't even need cell capability. a master control panel that can be undocked to be used as a wireless remote.
I usually solid mount all of my remotes at arms length, makes using remotes much easier for me than a loose remote...
it's either this or I'm going with a custom panel using switches & girder.... don't know which is better... the girder route can't be used remotely & won't have the bling of a touchscreen interface, but it isn't a whole other operating system to crash & bug & configure &...????

J,
Dexi has some crazy **** coming w/ GPRS where u can control the car through the cell phone.
If you prefer closer contact to the functions then maybe you should consider having the relays controled through the PC, since the program is written in Java this is multi-platform. PC, PDA, Cellphone.
Contact him and he'll give u the downlow.
Later.
