ATX-M2 160w.. not enough to power my system ??

Alright guys.. here is the problem. I went back to the M2-ATX due to the fact it was the perfect size to house in my ITX case.. Well I have a problem, the PC boots up, and POST fine, but then all of a sudden the Lilliput would go to no VGA signal, the computer is still full on running, fan is on, mobo lights are on, and the LED on the M2 is on.. and screen is ON, but now no signal ??

Occasionally the screen will filter from WHITE to Black upon bootup.. Now i am confused ?? i have purchased one of those KIlawatt adapter to check how much juice my PC is actually drawing, and the reading is 45W, and that is without the Lilliput piggy off the M2-ATX..

my setup ::

Code:
Intel Pentium-M 730 Dothan 1.6Ghz, 533FSB (mobile processor) CoolerMaster EEB-N41SS-01 Heat Sink DFI G5M150-N ITX motherboard 2 sticks of Corsair XMS PC3200 512mb RAM (1gb total) HITACHI Travelstar 7K100 80gb 7200RMP 2.5" hard drive M2-ATX DC-DC power supply

ok.. after doing some testing, i found something weired.. ok so i have it hooked up to a CRT and separate power, still same thing happens, POSTs then black screen.. then, I did SAFE MODE and it worked fine.. i then, restarted and did a regular windows load but goes to black screen after windows loading.. So I am thinking its a windows problem now..

But, i take it out of the car, and hook up a 200w AC/DC to the mobo, and loaded it up and windows loaded up perfectly fine ?? i restart to check and everything works perfectly fine when its running at home off the AC/DC supply, but then when i go back into the DC/DC route, i can not load up the windows regularly it just goes black, but it works fine when in Safe Mode ??

any suggestions ??

try this, press the F8 key before windows boots up and select the Enable VGA Boot while the pc is in the car. i understand that plugin in a different monitor would make windows detect a new monitor so it starts with a 800x600 or 640x480 res.

what resolution was screen in the car when it was working??
